Excellent discussion from last month concerning Ben Bernanke's role in creating the financial crisis. Was aired the morning of the committee hearing that pushed the Bernanke vote to the full Senate. Sanders voted 'nay,' but captured Senators prevailed 16-7. We have word this morning that Senate leader Harry Reid will bring the monetizer's confirmation to the floor sometime Thursday.
I'm still not convinced; it smells of gamesmanship in an attempt to build momentum for his vote. We'll learn soon enough as there are only 4 days left until Bernanke's term expires. The latest update shows he now has 51 votes to end cloture, and he needs 60.
