Ratigan, Nassim Taleb & Stephen A. Smith Discuss Too Big To Fail

Dylan Ratigan's new MSNBC show Morning Meeting is proving to be the spot for discussion of our favorite issues.  Political capture, too big to fail, financial regulation, the Wall street bailout, failed banks, failed risk management, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, AIG, compensation and bonus structure, it's all in here.  Another outstanding discussion.  This clip includes the Black Swan and Stephen A Smith.

More great stuff from Dylan Ratigan (Daily Bail, you've probably seen this already). Ratigan is quickly working his way down the list off anti-bailout Hall of Famer's. This clip is with Ron Paul and Ratigan is totally on board with auditing the Fed and ending its secrecy. He even laughs at the idea that auditing the Fed would RAISE interest rates (4:12). Ratigan also opens up on Barack Obama's great rhetoric of "transparency" vs. his actions (4:37). Great stuff. Personally, I think Ratigan can be a little stiff, a little awkward with guests, and a little bit overbearing, but God damn, he's on the f-ing ball. He understands alot of this stuff and he cuts through the crap. I'm calling it right here: Dylan Ratigan will be a network anchor within the next ten years. In spite of his minor shortcomings (which are also his strengths), he's that good.

Oh, and then he says to Ron Paul, "We love what you're doing....There's too many back-room deals being done and they're basically coming at the taxpayer's expense, sir" (7:15). Would Brian Williams say this? Katie Couric? Charlie What's His Face?

Blue Pill vs. Red Pill - Obama talks about the Matrix

Morpheus: The matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes, to blind you from the truth.

Morpheus: You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

gobias,

I can't tell you how depressed I became on November 5 when I realized that all of my blue-state friends had decamped to La-La Land. Blue State. Blue Pill. The state lives.

Good Song!

Reagan - September 25, 1987 (remarks in Arlington, Virginia)

"How do you tell a Communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin."

@ James H

"He understands alot of this stuff and he cuts through the crap."

Ditto what you said. Thanks for sharing the link. No network anchor will touch this stuff. They stuck their thumbs up their asses and buried their heads in the sand long ago.
