Protesters At Chicago Tea Party Confront CNN Reporter (Must See Video)

The link has been FIXED.

Hat tip to James for posting this clip in comments.  I'll have more on this video in the morning, but for now just watch it. It's a series of off-camera confrontations a CNN reporter was having with the crowd at the Chicago Tea Party.

Apparently, the crowd grew angry with the reporter because she was selecting wacko protestors to interview in order to make the entire rally look pitiful.

It gets very interesting at the 1:45 mark.

Networks like ABC, CBS, and NBC are news you can trust! Unbiased, and unbeholden to conglomerate owners and advertising dollars [sarcasm]. I agree that Fox, CNN, and MSNBC are the worst of the worst in terms of impudence and make me nauseous, but the rest of the MSM isn't a whole lot significantly better, just more discrete.

You do have the rare reporters/anchors who are the exceptions, bud sadly few and far between. They usually either get canned or leave on their own accord for more noble pursuits. Hence Dylan Ratigan's departure from CNBC. Mark my word, Faber will be right behind him, unless Erin Burnett starts putting out for him.

Geraldo called that CNN reporter and told her to tone it down. Yeesh.

Lighten up, AB Francis.

You know...it pisses me off when someone tells me to lighten' up. I take offense to those that are twisting the news to fit their own agenda. The masses are to f-king dumb to be able to read through the B.S. There should be some accountability for the media....on both the left and the right. So, I will lighten up when I start seeing some F-king changes in this Country.....I am ANGRY because I CARE!

I hate that coke head Larry Kudlow the most. He is always a bull no matter what happens. Also, Jim Cramer is an idiot. He says he is on TV because of people and he cares how people do. YEAH RIGHT! the guy is promoting his books and the last thing he cares is the average joe. Jim Cramer should be spending his life in jail.

@Polish

AB was just playing around with hyperbole I believe. You will find with time that AB doesn't like any of the corporate networks.

The dialogue is outstanding from everyone and we are all on the same team: that would be 'the stop wasting our money' team.

Re the Daily Show clips:

The utlimate target of the first clip was the media. Stewart really seemed to take umbrage at the CNN (you know, the COMMUNIST NEWS NETWORK!!!!!) reporter. Again, this is good.

@Something Polish

I didn't realize CNN interviewed the Hitler-Obama guy. I don't know if they showed it, but did you see the other side of his sign? Something like "Taxpayers are like the Jews for Obama's ovens." Dear God.

All AB and others have attempted to demonstrate is that you can't paint all the protestors with the same brush.

We are not all right wing fanatics or wing-nuts.

We are a bunch of crazy populists who have absolutely had enough.

We are tired of our politicans. Both from the left and the right. And we are definitely tired of the mainstream media.

And we don't enjoy being labeled what we are not by media critics of the protests.

The video mentioned above was removed, but has been reposted here:

No doubt it will be removed again. Just go to youtube and search on Chicago Tea Party

@martin

Thanks for the re-post. Apparently the video had the original CNN footage and then the blogger's footage taken after CNN's cameras were off. The CNN footage was considered a copyright violation. I wonder if CNN contacted YouTube (for obvious reasons) or whether YouTube did it themselves.

@Something Polish

On her blog (apparently created just before the Tea Party), Kathy Barkulis claims that the CNN reporter interviewed Hitler-Obama guy before she talked to anyone else. I believe this would be Some Guy With a Sign Phenomenon Exhibit 1A.

If you look around the (conservative, Republican?) Smart Girl Politics ring with which Mrs. Barkulis' blog is associated, check out the Black N Right blog. Here she is advertising an End the Fed rally in Santa Monica.

Though the obvious GOP leanings of some of the protesters are a little concerning, blog postings like this one to end the Federal Reserve are encouraging signs indeed.
