Paul Ryan Dodges Question On Whether GOP Budget Will End Corporate Welfare

Video - Paul Ryan - Apr. 3, 2011

Source - Raw Story

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) said Sunday that the GOP 2012 budget will exceed even the $4 trillion in spending cuts over the next decade recommended by President Barack Obama's debt commission.

But Ryan wouldn't commit that his new budget would follow the debt commission's lead and end corporate welfare for oil and gas companies.

"Widely reported that your budget will cut spending by $2 trillion over the next decade. True?" Fox News Chris Wallace asked Ryan during their Sunday interview.

"Well, it's more than that," Ryan said. "Quite a bit more than that."

"$4 trillion?" Wallace wondered.

"Looking at more than that right now. We're fine-tuning the numbers. Congressional Budget Office literally today, over the weekend. We'll cut more than that," Ryan explained.

"We will be exceeding the goals that were put out in the president's debt commission," he added.

Ending corporate welfare is as simple as cutting the corporate tax rate to 12% and ending all incentives.

But then how would the politicians perform favors worth millions of dollars in exchange for campaign contributions, favors and multi-million dollar jobs upon leaving office?

Never mind.

you got it bobby...cut the rate and then hold the line on loopholes...but is such a thing even possible in our system of granting favors...

DON'T pretend Paul Ryan is going to do a darn thing about Corporate welfare, banking fraud, the federal reserve, the SEC scam or Wall Street's criminal activity. The collapse of our nation took place while Ryan was around and he is another republican traitor.

One thing he will do, blame the powerless middle class that don't have the means to fight back.

The whole raison d'etre of the GOP is to transfer wealth from the middle class to corporations.

Wow, Obama's speech today demonstrates his blind insanity. I can’t wait to see your piece on Obama’s crazy 2012 budget speech. Some of what he has said sounds good, when is he going to start being the POTUS and achieve just one of his lofty goals. I can’t believe that he is going to campaign on this nonsense. He wants to be held accountable and he has a debt failsafe….”if by 2014…”…DB I am laughing my ass off.

Again, looking forward to your take...

In review of the constitution the original tax was suppose to be applied to Company and/or business Taxes only. We were never suppose to pay taxes on wages. The Gov was suppose to function from Tariffs and/or corporate taxes.

Paul Ryan, has a limited understanding of business, business cycles and Budgets. If he understood the basic needs of our country i.e. cut major spending then he would not have proposed a bandaid vs a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.

I suggest we end CAFTA, NAFTA and similar trade deals and begin to rebuild our nation. I also suggest we end the loopholes for corporate interest moving overseas to partake of tax loopholes.

As a owner of a growing business I would never ask my local gov for a handout. A real business thrives with a basic business plan and concept and fails if the idea and/or market wasn't researched in complete detail or fails because the market has no use or demand. It's just that simple. Of course we have to have the proper funding and profit but the idea that "Counties,States and Fed's provide tax advantages and/or unfair welfare is a disgusting and putrid act supported by both parties. If we lived in a true free market economy we would never see or hear of any Corporate Welfare.

In closing and having reviewed many gov grants, loans and SBA deals I was amazed with how much "Race is implied" with the various grants. If i wasn't a women, black, mexican, a new immigrant etc I would have no hope of a "sponsored loan" but then again the mere fact programs has specified requirements for race, etc doesn't that imply our own gov is, well Rasist?

Anyway, I just found this site and will have to visit often.
