Obama: 'Omar Mateen Was A Homegrown Terrorist'

THIS IS A TERROR INVESTIGATION

Speaking from the Oval Office, President Obama said Omar Mateen was an example of 'homegrown extremism' and there is no evidence yet that he was 'directed by anyone or part of a larger plot.'

At this point it could be one of 2 things:

Omar had help in the nightclub and his help escaped and the FBI doesn't want to scare people by admitting they have absolutely no idea who or where these people are.

OR

Omar was bullshitting his friend or whomever he called for some unknown reason.

I could understand if Omar lied and told 911 he had accomplices. That would make sense. But why would he call a friend and mention that he was one of 4 shooters? That doesn't make a lot sense. But I have seen another clip with a different eyewitness who was also in the bathroom who told Anderson Cooper the exact same thing about the phone call.
