Obama Declares: 'Climate Debate Is Over, Science Is Settled'

Pack It Up, Obama Says Climate Change Science Is 'Unequivocal'

Clip is from this weekend. In middle school science classes in the mid-to-late 1970s students across the country, myself included, were indoctrinated into the cult of Global Cooling and the coming ice age. It was incredibly frightening for a 12 year-old, and as it turns out, complete hogwash. It's the same settled science then as now. And in some cases it's the exact same scientists claiming that the science is settled.

And the next time someone like Bill Maher cliams it was 'just one article' from the 70s, show him the following list.

Whew. I know it'd take a super human effort to get through all of these. Of course some of us remember when all this shit went down. Running around the neighborhood being all concerned and shit, Then, we would have to take the desks into the halls and lean over the girls in an effort to save humanity from a nuclear explosion. You know what else I still see. The fall out shelter symbols on some of the old schools. But not to worry. The kids have all been pussified. They have exhibit your symptom seminars where they all have a cry fest and post that shit on stickers and put em up for all to see. Gads. Just awful.

The 1970’s Global Cooling Compilation – looks much like today

May 10, 2016 at 3:10 AM | Registered CommenterDailyBail
I've learned a lot from Judith Curry (climate scientist at Georgia Tech): http://judithcurry.com

And from Steve McIntyre's Climate Audit: http://climateaudit.org

His and Ross McKitrick's peer-reviewed articles on the hockey stick are just devastating: http://climateaudit.org/multiproxy-pdfs/

So is his work on the divergence problem: http://climateaudit.org/category/proxies/divergence/

The warming alarmists hate him because he's better at math than they are and has repeatedly pointed out their mistakes in painstaking detail. The only thing that keeps the global warming racket going in academia is the insular, politicized nature of the field.

I'd say since Climate Gate, the alarmists have done nothing but spin their wheels trying to defend their models and their predictions. Not just in the media, but in academic journals where outsiders have published devastating critiques of various aspects of the climate "consensus." Which is why Obama's statement here is such a farce. Just a couple of months ago, a major article was published that attempts to explain the warming hiatus/pause:

"Making sense of the early-2000s warming slowdown"

As with everything else, is Obama a dumbass or just a liar?

Judith Curry, by the way, was one of the first proponents of the idea that climate change was causing severe hurricanes. She's since rejected the certainty of her previous hypothesis and other scientists are still testing its validity. But yeah, I guess the science is "settled." It beggars belief.

They got it right the first time. It's the end of the Holocene. A Grand Minimum is coming. Nothing was ever going to stop it. The grasshoppers can run around in a fantasy world until Fall hits and then it is business as usual on this planet - cold as hell. The entire warming period we live in is a complete anomaly. The normal condition on the planet is cold.

Im familiar with Dr. Curry's work pitch and love your links. Btw, DB, the CIA has since closed it's climate office.

If you google "snowball Earth" now you'll see a lot of talk about how the Earth was a snowball once or more times in the distant past. No suggestion it might do that again. And yet I recall in the 1970s that was the shrill cry of all the 'impending iceage' doomers. "Man's pollution will tip the balance to a snowball Earth, and it will stay that way foreeeeeeveeeer!" they'd write. I recall believing this hype at the time, and being very upset. I was a teen then, innocent in the ways of lying shills.

The same kind of lying that would now pretend "it was just one article." No it wasn't, it was everywhere. Not just the newspapers, but Scientific American and all the magazines too.

It's supremely hilarious that now many of those same people are lying Warmists, yet will have to suffer watching the world slip into an actual Maunder Minimum little ice age since good old Sol doesn't read their rubbish 'settled science.' Starting.. well, already. Should be unavoidably obvious in a couple more years, and will be great fun to watch the AGW hype being snowed under by genuine 'thing of the past' snow drifts.

A bunch of liberal arts majors chanting "SCIENCE," reciting shibboleths, and screaming "DENIER" at anyone who questions their so-called facts.

Ah, the religious cult of climate change, which comes complete with heretics as well as icons and saints. St. Osama bin Laden, for instance, opposed climate change, according to the news (so you know it's true).

Federal Judge: Obama White House showed “Bad Faith” in Global Warming Case

If the evidence for dangerous global warming is so overwhelming, why did the staff of President Obama’s Science Advisor allegedly behave so badly, trying to hide documents, and trying to think up excuses not to release documents, when the Competitive Enterprise Institute requested a little background material?

It is also intriguing that the Competitive Enterprise Institute is the subject of an Attorney General subpoena so reeking of McCarthyite abuse of power, even proponents of global warming action are horrified at the blatant attack on free speech.

I haven’t located a copy of this latest ruling, but there is more information about this case from the Competitive Enterprise Institute website.

The following is the John Holdren video, the claims in which triggered this chain of events. [See above link for video].

As a scientist with a degree in chemistry and a minor in physics, I have long been interested in the ongoing dispute regarding man's impact on global warming/climate change/climate “disruption,” and the left's concerted efforts to convince a gullible public that we should give up our use of fossil fuels to “save the planet.”

Last week, I went and saw “Climate Hustle,” and it reinforced all of the information that I have reviewed over the years, solid evidence that climate data was manipulated, and in some cases omitted to fit a climate change model and the left's political agenda. (Carbon dioxide, a trace gas in our atmosphere, has was even called a “pollutant”...you know the stuff that plants take in and then respire (“exhale”) oxygen that WE humans, etc., need to survive.)

The movie also provided a prima facie case that researchers have been deliberately generating biased “research” that supports “Chicken Little,” apocalyptic predictions for our world...all so they can continue to receive more taxpayer-funded grant money. It's totally disingenuous; and it's self-serving pseudo-science! And further, day-by-day, more scientists who were formally on the other side have now become “skeptics”/“deniers.” And these scientists have reaped the wrath of professional and personal vilification from their former colleagues.

The bottom line of this documentary film is that it's “all about the Benjamins” (forcing income redistribution by creating a public panic about impending global doom that must be specifically addressed by the world's governments and the UN right NOW!

If “Climate Hustle” ever gets to a DVD, it should be required viewing in every physical science class, if, for no other reason that it goes directly to the professional integrity that we should expect from every serious researcher.

Obama does not strike me as the greatest scientist on earth worthy of deciding this voodoo science, he strikes me as the kid at the science fair whose volcano project did not work.

Growing up within the 6 mile circle around a former Soviet era target I also remember those drills. All the schools here with those symbols have long since been torn down, and the new schools preach that the communists are our friends,,,

Gomp, Here where I live there is called Unity Day. Kids are chosen according to how dire their circumstances are and they get up on stage and discuss their problems in front of the school. The kids are told to wear the school colors and they all write down shit on a colored piece of paper and they tape them to the walls and windows. Un fucking real. The schools all have the global mission statements plastered over the doorways. I think the admins actually believe this stuff. I digress.
Obama is a member of the flat earth society. With science being shelved as a done deal, I guess we oughta do away with math and reasoning as well. Didn't they do this kind of stuff back in the day in Galileo's time. I could be wrong.

Leif Erickson and Greenland are PROOF that Climate Change is a natural ongoing phenomena. Unless Buffalo farts were the SOURCE of change in those times. The Globalist Bankers want to empower the UN to collect taxes, then they can create a Military/Police Force to ENFORCE their tax, then enforce their agenda. HANG the Bankers and their INSTALLS in Congress and elsewhere that contrived, own, empower and operate the UN. Treason has a due at the end of a rope.

Atlantic City Sea Level, Diving Horses, and Modeling of Ice Sheet Changes

Note: our previous post today covered the ridiculous claims from National Geographic about sea-level rise in Atlantic City. This article from 2012 is fascinating and it tells the story of one Cyril Galvin, who found a problem with his local tide gauge figures in Atlantic City.

HMMM. National Geographic? The once respectable magazine? Seems I just heard something else about them very recently…..
