I hope everyone had a great holiday. I was with Liz's extended family on the shores of Lake Erie in Vermillion, Ohio from Wednesday thru Saturday. You could call the temperature warm. No golf was played. Beers were opened and finished, and then more beers were opened. Liz's uncle john arrived in his bright orange late 70's ford van converted and customized into a cleveland browns vehicle replete with brown shag carpet on floor, walls and ceiling, brown swivel chairs and a dog-barking, dog-pound for a horn.

The mvp of the event was Tater (the dog) who stayed submerged in the lake for 8 hours on Friday retrieving the same 6 ft. stick (as thick as a baseball bat). He could not be coaxed from the water. He weighs 100 lbs. He also was rumored to have enjoyed a lite beer, though I can not confirm this.

Wow Steve, I thought the vanners went the way of the dinosaurs years ago, sounds fun. Yes, Ohio has been a little warm and dry...
