NEWS ALERT: We Regret To Inform You That The Next Congressional Budget Has Been Cancelled

---

Ironically, this would be the greatest news story evah, if it actually meant that Congress were going to stop spending for a year.  But it means nothing of the sort.  More than $3.6 trillion will still be spent, Democrats are merely avoiding an official budget out of fear for their political lives this November.  Word games and semantics are alive on Capitol Hill, meanwhile our nation is choking on debt as we focus on becoming Greece as quickly and seamlessly as possible.

I've said it since day one -- the Washington Spending Machine controls both parties, and until Republicans have the political courage to propose a deficit solution involving deep spending cuts to entitlements and the Pentagon War Machine, they will remain equally at fault with Democrats for our fiscal ruin.

And don't kid yourselves, annual $1.5 trillion deficits will ruin this nation.  Wait until Treasury yields spike as Greenspan warned last week, and the cost of servicing $14 trillion in federal debt skyrockets.  By that point it will be too late as interest on the debt will be the majority of the discretionary spending pie.

Even Glenn Beck gets it:

Cancelled: There Will Be No Congressional Budget This Year

Washington (Jun 22)

In light of House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer’s (D-MD) announcement this morning that House Democrats will not pass a budget this year – failing to fulfill what he has called “the most basic responsibility” of governing – the following important fiscal health warning has been issued:

THE BUDGET HAS BEEN

CANCELLED

WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT

THE CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET

PLANNED FOR FISCAL YEAR 2011 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO WASHINGTON DEMOCRATS’ OUT-OF-CONTROL SPENDING SPREE.

AN APOLOGY FOR THIS BETRAYAL OF AMERICAN TAXPAYERS DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE FORTHCOMING AT THIS TIME.

BE ADVISED THAT THE FOLLOWING SERVICES WILL BE INTERRUPTED:

Imposing the fiscal discipline economists say is needed to create jobs and boost our economy.

Reining in the out-of-control spending spree that is killing American jobs.

Carrying out the “most basic responsibility of governing.”

Stopping middle-class tax hikes that will sock family budgets at the worst possible time.

Providing the leadership on jobs and the economy that Americans say is sorely lacking.

Protecting our kids and grandkids from the enormous debt burden Washington has placed on them.

We reserve the right to notify you of additional consequences that may arise in light of this budget failure, which is unprecedented in the modern era.  In the interim, please brace for more spending, more debt, more tax hikes, more broken promises.

For families and small businesses looking for a government that listens to the people it serves and respects their hard-earned money, House Republicans are offering
better solutions to cut spending now and help small businesses put people back to work.

Dems won’t pass budget in 2010

House Democrats will not pass a budget blueprint in 2010, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) will confirm in a speech on Tuesday.

But Hoyer will vow to crack down on government spending, saying Democrats will enforce spending limits that are lower than what President Barack Obama has called for.

WASHINGTON (AP) - House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Tuesday that tax increases will eventually be necessary to address the nation's mounting debt, raising a difficult election-year issue as Democrats fight retain control of Congress.

In the shorter term, Hoyer raised the possibility that Congress will only temporarily extend middle-class tax cuts set to expire at the end of the year. He pointedly suggested that making them permanent would be too costly.

"The entire COIN strategy is a fraud perpetuated on the American people," says Douglas Macgregor, a retired colonel and leading critic of counterinsurgency who attended West Point with McChrystal. "The idea that we are going to spend a trillion dollars to reshape the culture of the Islamic world is utter nonsense.

1) Oil Patch Gossip About BP. Over the years, I have invested so much time wildcatting in the oil patch that I will never be wanting for great steaks at Nick & Sam’s in Dallas, skyboxes at Cowboys games, and personally signed 8 X 10 glossy photographs of George W. Bush. So to get the skinny on the BP mess, I spent the weekend catching up with old friends who live with a permanent oil stain under their fingernails. Some of the chatter that came back was amazing. BP has discovered the largest and most powerful well in history, and control of it may be outside existing technology. The previous record gusher was Union Oil Co.’s Lakeview well in Maricopa, California, which spewed out a staggering 100,000 barrels a day at its peak in 1910, and created an enormous oil lake in the central part of the state. Estimates for the BP well now range up to 50% more than that. The pressures at 18,000 feet are so enormous, that drilling two more relief wells might only result in creating two more oil spills.

In 2008, then-candidate Barack Obama's political coattails extended across the country. But heading into this year's midterm elections, Democrats face a tricky task of where to deploy their party chief on the campaign trail as they try to hang onto majorities in both houses of Congress.

JERUSALEM – Iran said Tuesday it would send a blockade-busting ship carrying aid and pro-Palestinian activists to Gaza, fueling concern in Israel, where commandos were training for another possible confrontation at sea.

Lesson For Democrats: It's The Bailout Culture And Out-Of-Control National Debt, Stupid

http://www.businessinsider.com/lesson-for-democrats-its-the-bailout-culture-and-out-of-control-national-debt-stupid-2009-11#ixzz0rdQMN4wt

Our Suggestion: Stop the Bail, Stop The Spending & Stop The Stimulus.

The party that figures it out first wins, in 2010 and beyond.

The American people (and their children and grandchildren) have had enough.

They've ALREADY failed starting a few months ago, but the U.S. government quietly stepped-in using third-party buyers in order to pick-up the slack. The United States is buying up its own debt!
