NETWORK: 'I'm All Out Of Bullshit'

I don't have any bullshit left.  I just ran out of it, you see.

Peter Finch as Howard Beale.  More below.

Wikipedia on Network...

The film won four Academy Awards, in the categories of Best Actor (Finch), Best Actress (Dunaway), Best Supporting Actress (Straight), and Best Original Screenplay (Chayefsky).

In 2000, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally and historically significant."  In 2002, it was inducted into the Producers Guild of America Hall of Fame as a film that has "set an enduring standard for U.S. American entertainment."  In 2006, Chayefsky's script was voted one of the top-ten screenplays by the Writers Guild of America.  In 2007, the film was ranked 64th among the 100 greatest American films as chosen by the American Film Institute.

This scene precedes the clip above:

'I have decided to kill myself.  I'm going to blow my brains out right on this program a week from today.  So tune in next Tuesday.  That should give the marketing department a week to promote the show.  We're going to get a hell of a rating out of that.'

One of the greatest scenes in cinematic history:

I'm Mad As Hell And Not Going To Take It Anymore

Obama refuses to eat at GOP luncheon, cites lack of a 'taster' For the love of God. How can this be happening to us? Is the man that vapid to think that if perhaps he suffers from a bout of gastrotenitis that somehow he would not be missed. It just would be the next man up and they wouldn't skip a beat. I guess if he gets food poisoning that we could call him BLOTUS.

When was the last time this multiple award winning movie which comments on the motives behind corporate media ran on AMC Classics or any of the other movie networks? Years ago, probably a decade or more.

Thanks DB! Many articles out in the last month re: patent law changes. IMO, it's a good move for the US to go to FTFile. All other "advanced" countries have this system.
