MUST SEE VIDEO: 74 Year-Old Former Astronaut Buzz Aldrin Punches Moon Conspiracy Stalker In The Face

This is awesome.  Can't get much more entertaining than this live clip.

This version shows Bart Sibrel following Aldrin and pestering him, until the former astronaut explodes.  The right cross from Aldrin comes at the 1:20 mark.

I was fortunate to have a beer with Buzz Aldrin at a wedding in 1992.  There is no doubt that he walked on the moon.  Mythbusters offers proof below.

Mythbusters, the TV show, disproves the Apollo moon landing conspiracy.

No z...i'm having fun...you pissed me off with your bull shit in your last comment on the horsley thread...so this was simply to showcase your dementia to the fellow posters...so they can see what kind of belief system and intelligence lie behind your comments...

Bart Sibrel is a perfect example of a pathetic character who has no purpose in life but to offend others with his time. He got what he deserved from Buzz Aldrin who clearly took this Sibrel sissy out in one punch. Bravo Buzz.

"Such contracting practices raise serious ethics concerns, the inspector general's office warned in the report: "It appears unethical to hire back former executives at nearly twice their former pay to advise new executives who were placed in their position based on their expertise and years of Postal Service experience. "

It is all about gutting America out faster...

Whistleblowers Suffer More than Ever Under Obama

The Obama administration also uses other avenues for stonewalling and blocking. At times, those efforts take on grotesque dimensions, as in the case the Pentagon's September order to pulp the entire first printing run of "Operation Dark Heart." The memoir by army officer Anthony Shaffer over his time in the Afghanistan war contained what were alleged to be military secrets. The destruction of the 9,500 books cost taxpayers an estimated $47,300. When the second edition was released, 250 passages were blacked out.

I am a big fan of this site and a skeptic in my own right, but I find it unsavory that the author of this piece uses ad hominem attacks against anyone who believes in lunar conspiracy theories. Had the author rationalized his point with his own debunking, maybe...

However, he only appeals to "authority" in the form of Mythbusters and the James Randi group, men who are conspicuously against very real conspiracies, leading one to believe they are potential shills.

I say this all as a person who does indeed believe we went to the moon. But this post was unfair and it margenilzes those elements of society that are willing to question every assumption and think outside conventions and norms.

It is amazing man went to the moon with computing power a tiny fraction of what our smartphones have, when will there be an app out to space travel? We carry enough computational power if they were able to do that in the 1960's.

I can't tell what you mean by this TR...but Bart Sidrel is a stalker...and he provoked Aldrin by calling him a liar among other things...the Judge agreed and dismissed all charges in this case...

TR - This jerk is lucky that’s all that he received.
Bus put his life on the line- How many people would have risk what BA did and all the effort and contributions he has accomplished.
Some are men and then you have others that are worthless.
People like Buzz - are the people that contributed their lives so a person of little value can exist and do what he did.
I have met Buzz and others of his class of people - Thank God for them. To bad we have a person like this.
Wish I was at this event- this person would have had more than just one shot to the head.
This person that holds the Good Book in his hand is a coward. Buzz is in his 80’s and he was so disrespectful. And he is a man of God. No way – he is a deprived meanly ill and should be taken off the streets.

Point to remember ... Soviet Union and America where mortal enemies and the USSR watched the Americans with every thing they could .on land on sea and in air ( including Space) ! Do you think they would have been complicit in an American scam ? Well do you ?

I'm not impressed with Bart Sibrel, but Aldrin was being a WIMP.
JESUS would have punched Sibrel, kicked him in the nuts, knocked him down, stomped him & told him to lay there & bleed.
There's something special about a militant SAVIOR.

God Bless Buzz Aldrin!!!!!! This guy was a first class jerk who got exactly what he deserved. Good for Buzz.
Jul 8, 2011 at 7:35 PM | Unregistered CommenterBob L
Well, since none of the Apollo missions could actually take three live human beings to the moon, land them there and return them to earth alive, I think old "Buzz" was just letting off decades of frustration of not even knowing if he himself went to the moon! Those guys had their minds put in a blender. Most of them can't give clear memories of being on the moon. This is a fact: The ionizing radiation that permeates space outside of the earths magnetosphere would have cooked the Apollo crew just like they were in a tin of Jiffy Pop. The crafts that supposedly did this had nowhere near the shielding needed to protect the crew or even the electronics from frying. NASA did not know the statistics for using aluminum plates as shielding at the time of Apollo and this is one of their biggest dilemmas concerning the question: HOW DID THE ASTRONAUTS SURVIVE SUCH A LETHAL TRIP IN SPACE? They can't give a definite answer to this. Which means they are lying about it.

That was a spectacular shot! Especially for an octogenarian. I'm glad the court agreed he was within his rights to clobber this piece of crap.

CCRider--

Wasn't there a movie by this same title from the early 70s? I recall Joe Namath drinking milk and tossing the container away as he pushed a cart down the aisle. It adumbrated Lebowski.

Google, however, is useless on this score.

Buzz is right on, btw.
Jul 9, 2011 at 1:29 PM | Unregistered CommenterCheyenne
You are correct, Cheyenne. The Coen Brothers essentially filched that entire scene, merely reversing the grocery store angle from left to right to fit the times.

You might also have noticed how Mr. Jeffrey Lebowski dated his check, 9/11, at the store.

A curious film, to be sure.

There is only so much heckling from a person and someone continously being in your face and blocking your freedom of movement before you take action to stop it. BA was trying to walk away and he was continously blocked by the heckler. BA had no recourse and he had the right to self defense and chose it. In California a law exist that if you are being harassed or being instigated you have the right to self defense and the heckler would get arrested for creating a disturbance and blocking your path. The court ruled on this and BA was correct and justified.

To the person who thinks that Buzz was not right to his this jerk in the face. Was is right for this Jerk to physically get near and chase Buzz around for at least 1 1/2 minutes? It was to the point of threatening. A real man took over to stop the situation, and Buzz, a substantially older and more frail gentleman, nailed this guy in the face and ended the encounter like a man. I bet Bart Sibrel went home crying and immediately called is gay attorney.

Mike, you are an idiot. You obviously never visited the Naval museum in Pensacola where you can actually see a space capsule. If you see it and don't believe a person can be protected, then you are as bad as Bart. I was there when they landed on the moon, splashed down, and were greeted on the ship. Watch the parachutes and everything that went on back then. It is truly amazing.
