What the hell! I resent the labeling of this Social Justice Weenie as a hipster. I would probably be described as others as an old hipster and I am voting for Trump this election because he is standing up for the working man and talking about ending the economic exploitation of americans by globalist, corporate scum. Stop stereotyping all progressives and liberals as Social Justice Weenies. Many, Many american liberals and progressives are against the SJW's brand of regressive authoritarian cultural marxism and the total misuse of race and gender issues by these people! These SJW's do not speak for us and regard us as traitors or something like that for not going along with them. Unfortunately they seem to get heard the most. You know what they say "Its the emptiest kettle that rattles the most"! There is a big split in the progressive, liberal, american scene over this right now. Nice post Alexander. I was going off a bit on a Friday afternoon. Sometimes when I get started with the insults in a story they just fly. And I can understand your pain at being associated with these modern-day snowflakes, hiding from painful truths in a sea of trigger warnings.

Thanks DailyBail for the reply. I am 53 years old and I remember the time when liberal-progressive people were cool. What ever happened to being cool? Over the years I have watched a big chunk of the liberal-progressive population let themselves get ground down by the conservative puritanical backlash against the 60's to the point where they themselves have become more and more puritanical. I have always been a supporter of the second amendment and there was a time when that was not an issue among liberal-hipster-progressive people. Hey, supporting the second amendment was about supporting freedom and what could be more progressive than supporting freedom? Right? Then sometime in the late 80's to 90's it became a bad, conservative, rightwing thing to support the right of the law abiding citizen to bear arms and then I was some sort of traitor and I have actually had people who I thought were OK turn around and ostracize me for my support of the second amendment. This is just one example of the slow corruption of that chunk of the liberal-progressive population that today we call SJW's. I could write a book about it with hundreds of examples but you get the idea. I watched this change over the course of two and a half decades and it sucked! Conservatives complain about SJW's but it is us social libertarian liberals and progressives that have, over the years, had to bear the brunt of their growing stupidity and authoritarianism because we were in closer proximity to these people. They take over movements by being underhandedly toxic and thus driving the cool people away. This is exactly what has happened here in america over the course of three decades. I am a white male and now these people actually discriminate against me for this all while complaining about sexism and racism. Before the term "social justice warrior" came about I referred to these people as the racism-sexism crowd. Now, they are called SJW's but I now think of them as social justice WEENIES because that is what they are. They are not warriors by any stretch of the imagination but pathetic puritanical weenies. So from now on call them Social Justice WEENIES and not Social Justice Warriors.

Another excellent post Alexander. I can feel the pain oozing through your comment and I concur. Our views sound similar. I'm not very religious, but I respect others' right to be. I don't really care about social issues except when it allows me to make fun of the weenies. I'm not a normal conservative by any stretch. I'm more of a Rand Paul libertarian at heart. I used to believe in free trade, but the last 15 years of NAFTA have taught me I was wrong, which is a big part of why I support Trump. Also, simply because he is not Hillary.

I'm 50 so I've witnessed the same soul-destroying madness over the past 3 decades as you. For example, earlier this week, a rally in Missouri for Orlando victims was hijacked by a BLM speaker who was pissed that everyone in the crowd was white and also pissed that her BLM rallies don't get similar support. Thanks for the support DailyBail, I will bookmark you. I am basically a libertarian on social issues, very against things like the drug war, religious fundamentalism, etc, and I am a economic moderate. It seems clear now that corporations need to be policed just like people and you are 100% right on NAFTA. You are also right about BLM. They seem to be very toxic. All these SJW's seem to be toxic and lately I have had several negative run-ins with them. And Trump, well, I am not a real fanatic supporter of his but I basically respect the man for having balls and I will be voting for a republican for president this election for the first time in my life. His take down of the republican establishment this year was GREAT! This election is about getting the corporate-neocon-establishment elites out of politics and both sides (liberal-conservative) presented their alternate candidates (Bernie-Trump). It strikes me that the republicans are the ones who got their alternate candidate as the front runner while the liberals-democrats blew out. We need a new opposition. Ship liberal-so-called progressive is getting ready to sink and needs to be abandoned. Gods, people are so uptight and on edge these days. The tension is so thick you can cut it with a knife. Thanks for the links, I will check them out and check back every now and then. Again thanks for the conversation. Its very isolating out there and its great to talk to someone with similar experiences.
