Matt Taibbi And Dan Patrick Discuss The NFL Draft

Relax, it's Friday.  This is pretty hilarious.

Watch the first few minutes.  Taibbi's interesting theories on the NFL draft.

Thanks also to Dan Patrick, who was gracious enough to have me on his show to talk about my latest NFL Draft Decoded piece.  I'm always intimidated talking to guys I grew up watching on Sportscenter, but it was a fun spot.

Brand new piece today from Matt Taibbi at Rolling Stone.

Everything Is Rigged: The Biggest Bank Price-Fixing Scandal Ever

Cheyenne

Well, well, well.  What do we have here but another banking scandal?

Only this time it's so huge as to wrench a fascinating admission from Matt Taibbi in the very first sentence of his new piece.

"Conspiracy theorists of the world, believers in the hidden hands of the Rothschilds and the Masons and the Illuminati, we skeptics owe you an apology.  You were right.  The players may be a little different, but your basic premise is correct: The world is a rigged game."

What you will notice about the names of the players involved in the crime wave du jour--"Barclays, UBS, Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and the Royal Bank of Scotland"--is that every one of them is on the list of Global Systematically Important Banks provided as a courtesy by the FSB to let us plebes know which banks are above the law:

http://www.financialstabilityboard.org/publications/r_121031ac.pdf

Unfortunately, Taibbi makes note of the Justice Department's refusal to prosecute "systematically important" banks without drawing any connection to the FSB.  I wrote all about it here.  Had he done so, his many readers (he has upwards of 150K twitter followers) would have been made aware that it is the FSB, not the U.S. government, that's calling the shots on criminal prosecutions in the U.S.  This is a surefire indication that the U.S. is no longer sovereign, which Daily Bail readers will recall is the case.

Read Taibbi's piece at Rolling Stone...

Patrick was raised in Mason, Ohio, one of six children of John ("Jack") and Patricia Pugh. He was a basketball player in high school at William Mason High School, where in his senior year he earned AP Class AA All-Ohio third-team honors.[1] He attended Eastern Kentucky University on a basketball scholarship for two years before transferring to the University of Dayton, where he majored in broadcast journalism. Patrick is also an alumnus of the Eta Hexaton Chapter of the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity at Dayton.[2]

This is from yesterday also. I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but what I've heard is really good. It's a podcast so they have time to talk about things in detail. Just skip around and listen for a few minutes.

I relly don't have the balls to read this as today was an absolute cluster fuck. I've gotta go to my bank tomorrow and try to "fix" a fucking mess where some fuck stole my identity and took money out of my account. That is the last FUCKING time I leave my house without some kind of paper money in my pocket, and will try not to get arrested in the process. sonuvabitch.

Damn. Identity theft. I hope somehow you caught it early and the damage isn't too serious. Things like that can be so unsettling, unnerving. The stress hormones race through your body for hours afterwards. I hope it can be resolved without much issue and they catch the bastard.

Meh. I guess I swiped a card at a terminal that had a scanning device. Apparently I was not the only one from this particular bank I deal with. Since I pulled my money from the big banks a couple of years ago to work with a local guy, I thought I could get more personable service. Anyway, I was the 4th person in there this morning and filled the the required paper work to try and get my money back. Someone in Vista California was making purchases with my info in a God damned Wal Mart. Couldn't be a Mom and Pop shop or even a Nieman Marcus for God's sake. A God damned depressing blue colored scheme empty shelf old ass greeter miserable non union working effin Wal Mart. I asked the nice lady there three different ways if it had been their machine that had been coopted with a device since there were so many already in one day. Apparently she must have a script or something as she kept repeating the same thing over and over again. Long story short, because this money came out of a buisness account I am going to have to eat the money. She slid an app for me for another card. I just had to laugh. As soon as all my transactions have cleared from this establishment I will move my money elsewhere, in the meantime I am going to go through the process of contacting the credit agencies, which on the face of it is almost laughable, given the scenario with the banks these days. Yesterday was a cluster job though. Just a pain in the ass really.

That sucks. But I laughed pretty hard at how you told the story.

There just is not any product or financial transaction of any sort that hasn't been gamed or rigged or manipulated. Just why in the hell do I bother to go to work? Oh that's right. so I can pay my bills based on some sort of made up number by a bunch of day old eating sushi ass wipes. To make it all better, we can look forward to this behavior because it just doesn't cross the thresh hold of any kind of criminal behavior.
