Jon Stewart had former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich on his show last night, and questioned him about the decision not to testify in his corruption trial.
- "There is not a person in the world that I believe could get you to pipe down," Stewart said. "Here's what concerns me. I would like to see you as a Dickens character. I would like to see you as a victim. But you make it so hard."
Stewart added:
- "You're a guy who's the most adamant about his innocence that I have ever met. So, like I say, you're either the victim of a terrible persecution, or you're a sociopath. I want to believe that you're not a sociopath."

Paranoid schizophrenia is one of several types of schizophrenia, a chronic mental illness in which reality is interpreted abnormally (psychosis). The classic features of paranoid schizophrenia are having beliefs that have no basis in reality (delusions) and hearing things that aren't real (auditory hallucinations).
With paranoid schizophrenia, your ability to think and function in daily life may be better than with other types of schizophrenia. You may not have as many problems with memory, concentration or dulled emotions. Still, paranoid schizophrenia is a serious, lifelong condition that can lead to many complications, including suicidal behavior. But with effective treatment, you can manage the symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia and work toward leading a happier, healthier life.
Blago doesn't have the money. He's been burning cash at a rate second only to the likes of George Hussein Obushma on haircuts, wardrobe and lawyers.
Blago doesn't have any friends in the Illinois Republicrat party. The General Assembly vote to kick him out as Governor was unanimous, save one, his sister-in-law.
Blago can no longer pay back any favors for his crooked pals. Given the risk, the return on investment would be less than zero.
I will halfheartedly offer what may be an explanation of the juror's decision.
Blago was flitting from one Senate candidate the next. Another day, another deal. How could the Feds prove that any potential crime was the one that Blago would pull the trigger on? Because they had Blago's words on tape? C'mon! He's Blago!
Blago's lack of integrity may have prevented a unanimous decision.
