France wants Rajoy to request an international bailout to prop up Spanish finances and stop the debt crisis deepening. But he is unwilling to ask for aid until he is sure of support from euro zone paymaster Germany which he will seek on Thursday at a meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel. "The worst thing that could happen is Spain asks for aid and Germany blocks it," said a senior European diplomat.

In sharp contrast to most of his colleagues in Hollywood, Cusack's got the mental goods. Exhibit A is his interview of Jonathan Turley about America's current excuse for a chief executive, whose refusal to punish high-ranking criminals offends Cusack to no end:

CUSACK: Have you ever heard a more specious argument than “It’s time for us all to move on?” When did the Attorney General or the President have the option to enforce the law?

TURLEY: Well, that’s the key question that nobody wants to ask. We have a treaty, actually a number of treaties, that obligate us to investigate and prosecute torture. We pushed through those treaties because we wanted to make clear that no matter what the expediency of the moment, no matter whether it was convenient or inconvenient, all nations had to agree to investigate and prosecute torture and other war crimes.

Saw that cusack interview the other day . very interesting.

Speaking of the Ivy League -- did anyone see Elizabeth Warren's remarks at the Democrat clown show? She talked all about how the system is "rigged" and how Wall St. CEO's still strut around DC like the financial crisis never happened, etc. And yet, in the same speech, she plugs away for Barack Obama! Lady, it's BECAUSE of Barack Obama that no one has been held accountable and Wall St. acts like they own the place. Unbelievable. I really didn't think she'd be this much of a sellout.

The Ghost Of Lehman Brothers Still Haunts Real Estate Investors

Who was the biggest buyer of U.S. commercial real estate in the past 12 months? It wasn't a big private equity firm or luxury developer. Rather, it was the estate of Lehman Brothers, which is still making deals nearly four years after its demise. In the past year, it paid $3 billion to take over Archstone from its creditors, and it is now preparing to take the firm public.

My thoughts exactly on Liz Warren.

She has lost all credibility.

This won't get mentioned in the starfucker press (which still regards Obama as a star), but the quality of celebrity mascots at this year's DNC took a dive that would make Facebook shorts envious. But for a handful of marquee names, this is about as exciting as a regional dog show:

Mary J. Blige
Jeff Bridges
Tim Daley
Rosario Dawson
The Foo Fighters
Adrian Grenier
Anthony Hamilton
Hill Harper
Perez Hilton
Wil.I.Am
Scarlett Johansson
Ashley Judd
Khalil Kain
John Legend
John Leguizamo
Eva Longoria
Janelle Monae
Kal Penn
Natalie Portman
Amber Riley
James Taylor
Kerry Washington
Lynn Whitfield
Alfre Woodard

Kind of makes one feel sorry for them. You would think that social climbing would mean hanging out with people of a higher stature would help.
