Joe Stack STATEMENT: Suicide Note From Austin Pilot Who Crashed Plane Into IRS Offices (VIDEO & Slideshow)

If you're reading this, you're no doubt asking yourself, "Why did this have to happen?" The simple truth is that it is complicated and has been coming for a long time. The writing process, started many months ago, was intended to be therapy in the face of the looming realization that there isn't enough therapy in the world that can fix what is really broken. Needless to say, this rant could fill volumes with example after example if I would let it. I find the process of writing it frustrating, tedious, and probably pointless... especially given my gross inability to gracefully articulate my thoughts in light of the storm raging in my head. Exactly what is therapeutic about that I'm not sure, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

We are all taught as children that without laws there would be no society, only anarchy. Sadly, starting at early ages we in this country have been brainwashed to believe that, in return for our dedication and service, our government stands for justice for all. We are further brainwashed to believe that there is freedom in this place, and that we should be ready to lay our lives down for the noble principals represented by its founding fathers. Remember? One of these was "no taxation without representation". I have spent the total years of my adulthood unlearning that crap from only a few years of my childhood. These days anyone who really stands up for that principal is promptly labeled a "crackpot", traitor and worse.

While very few working people would say they haven't had their fair share of taxes (as can I), in my lifetime I can say with a great degree of certainty that there has never been a politician cast a vote on any matter with the likes of me or my interests in mind. Nor, for that matter, are they the least bit interested in me or anything I have to say.

Latest Updates  >>

Why is it that a handful of thugs and plunderers can commit unthinkable atrocities (and in the case of the GM executives, for scores of years) and when it's time for their gravy train to crash under the weight of their gluttony and overwhelming stupidity, the force of the full federal government has no difficulty coming to their aid within days if not hours? Yet at the same time, the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country's leaders don't see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies. Yet, the political "representatives" (thieves, liars, and self-serving scumbags is far more accurate) have endless time to sit around for year after year and debate the state of the "terrible health care problem". It's clear they see no crisis as long as the dead people don't get in the way of their corporate profits rolling in.

And justice? You've got to be kidding!

How can any rational individual explain that white elephant conundrum in the middle of our tax system and, indeed, our entire legal system? Here we have a system that is, by far, too complicated for the brightest of the master scholars to understand. Yet, it mercilessly "holds accountable" its victims, claiming that they're responsible for fully complying with laws not even the experts understand. The law "requires" a signature on the bottom of a tax filing; yet no one can say truthfully that they understand what they are signing; if that's not "duress" than what is. If this is not the measure of atotalitarian regime, nothing is.

How did I get here?

My introduction to the real American nightmare starts back in the early '80s. Unfortunately after more than 16 years of school, somewhere along the line I picked up the absurd, pompous notion that I could read and understand plain English. Some friends introduced me to a group of people who were having 'tax code' readings and discussions. In particular, zeroed in on a section relating to the wonderful "exemptions" that make institutions like the vulgar, corrupt Catholic Church so incredibly wealthy. We carefully studied the law (with the help of some of the "best", high-paid, experienced tax lawyers in the business), and then began to do exactly what the "big boys" were doing (except that we weren't steeling from our congregation or lying to the government about our massive profits in the name of God). We took a great deal of care to make it all visible, following all of the rules, exactly the way the law said it was to be done.

The intent of this exercise and our efforts was to bring about a much-needed re-evaluation of the laws that allow the monsters of organized religion to make such a mockery of people who earn an honest living. However, this is where I learned that there are two "interpretations" for every law; one for the very rich, and one for the rest of us... Oh, and the monsters are the very ones making and enforcing the laws; the inquisition is still alive and well today in this country.

Slideshow from today's crash  >>

---

That little lesson in patriotism cost me $40,000+, 10 years of my life, and set my retirement plans back to 0. It made me realize for the first time that I live in a country with an ideology that is based on a total and complete lie. It also made me realize, not only how naive I had been, but also the incredible stupidity of the American public; that they buy, hook, line, and sinker, the crap about their "freedom"... and that they continue to do so with eyes closed in the face of overwhelming evidence and all that keeps happening in front of them.

Before even having to make a shaky recovery from the sting of the first lesson on what justice really means in this country (around 1984 after making my way through engineering school and still another five years of "paying my dues"), I felt I finally had to take a chance of launching my dream of becoming an independent engineer.

On the subjects of engineers and dreams of independence, I should digress somewhat to say that I'm sure that I inherited the fascination for creative problem solving from my father. I realized this at a very young age.

The significance of independence, however, came much later during my early years of college; at the age of 18 or 19 when I was living on my own as student in an apartment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. My neighbor was an elderly retired woman (80+ seemed ancient to me at that age) who was the widowed wife of a retired steel worker. Her husband had worked all his life in the steel mills of central Pennsylvania with promises from big business and the union that, for his 30 years of service, he would have a pension and medical care to look forward to in his retirement. Instead he was one of the thousands who got nothing because the incompetent mill management and corrupt union (not to mention the government) raided their pension funds and stole their retirement. All she had was social security to live on.

In retrospect, the situation was laughable because here I was living on peanut butter and bread (or Ritz crackers when I could afford to splurge) for months at a time. When I got to know this poor figure and heard her story I felt worse for her plight than for my own (I, after all, I thought I had everything to in front of me). I was genuinely appalled at one point, as we exchanged stories and commiserated with each other over our situations, when she in her grandmotherly fashion tried to convince me that I would be "healthier" eating cat food (like her) rather than trying to get all my substance from peanut butter and bread. I couldn't quite go there, but the impression was made. I decided that I didn't trust big business to take care of me, and that I would take responsibility for my own future and myself.

Return to the early '80s, and here I was off to a terrifying start as a 'wet-behind-the-ears' contract software engineer... and two years later, thanks to the fine backroom, midnight effort by the sleazy executives of Arthur Andersen (the very same folks who later brought us Enron and other such calamities) and an equally sleazy New York Senator (Patrick Moynihan), we saw the passage of 1986 tax reform act with its section 1706.

For you who are unfamiliar, here is the core text of the IRS Section 1706, defining the treatment of workers (such as contract engineers) for tax purposes. Visit this link for a conference committee report (http://www.synergistech.com/1706.shtml#ConferenceCommitteeReport) regarding the intended interpretation of Section 1706 and the relevant parts of Section 530, as amended. For information on how these laws affect technical services workers and their clients, read our discussion here (http://www.synergistech.com/ic-taxlaw.shtml).

SEC. 1706. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN TECHNICAL PERSONNEL.

(a) IN GENERAL - Section 530 of the Revenue Act of 1978 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection:

(d) EXCEPTION. - This section shall not apply in the case of an individual who pursuant to an arrangement between the taxpayer and another person, provides services for such other person as an engineer, designer, drafter, computer programmer, systems analyst, or other similarly skilled worker engaged in a similar line of work.

(b) EFFECTIVE DATE. - The amendment made by this section shall apply to remuneration paid and services rendered after December 31, 1986.

Note:

· "another person" is the client in the traditional job-shop relationship.

· "taxpayer" is the recruiter, broker, agency, or job shop.

· "individual", "employee", or "worker" is you.

Admittedly, you need to read the treatment to understand what it is saying but it's not very complicated. The bottom line is that they may as well have put my name right in the text of section (d). Moreover, they could only have been more blunt if they would have came out and directly declared me a criminal and non-citizen slave. Twenty years later, I still can't believe my eyes.

During 1987, I spent close to $5000 of my 'pocket change', and at least 1000 hours of my time writing, printing, and mailing to any senator, congressman, governor, or slug that might listen; none did, and they universally treated me as if I was wasting their time. I spent countless hours on the L.A. freeways driving to meetings and any and all of the disorganized professional groups who were attempting to mount a campaign against this atrocity. This, only to discover that our efforts were being easily derailed by a few moles from the brokers who were just beginning to enjoy the windfall from the new declaration of their "freedom". Oh, and don't forget, for all of the time I was spending on this, I was loosing income that I couldn't bill clients.

After months of struggling it had clearly gotten to be a futile exercise. The best we could get for all of our trouble is a pronouncement from an IRS mouthpiece that they weren't going to enforce that provision (read harass engineers and scientists). This immediately proved to be a lie, and the mere existence of the regulation began to have its impact on my bottom line; this, of course, was the intended effect.

Again, rewind my retirement plans back to 0 and shift them into idle. If I had any sense, I clearly should have left abandoned engineering and never looked back.

Instead I got busy working 100-hour workweeks. Then came the L.A. depression of the early 1990s. Our leaders decided that they didn't need the all of those extra Air Force bases they had in Southern California, so they were closed; just like that. The result was economic devastation in the region that rivaled the widely publicized Texas S&L fiasco. However, because the government caused it, no one gave a shit about all of the young families who lost their homes or street after street of boarded up houses abandoned to the wealthy loan companies who received government funds to "shore up" their windfall. Again, I lost my retirement.

Years later, after weathering a divorce and the constant struggle trying to build some momentum with my business, I find myself once again beginning to finally pick up some speed. Then came the .COM bust and the 911 nightmare. Our leaders decided that all aircraft were grounded for what seemed like an eternity; and long after that, 'special' facilities like San Francisco were on security alert for months. This made access to my customers prohibitively expensive. Ironically, after what they had done the Government came to the aid of the airlines with billions of our tax dollars ... as usual they left me to rot and die while they bailed out their rich, incompetent cronies WITH MY MONEY! After these events, there went my business but not quite yet all of my retirement and savings.

By this time, I'm thinking that it might be good for a change. Bye to California, I'll try Austin for a while. So I moved, only to find out that this is a place with a highly inflated sense of self-importance and where damn little real engineering work is done. I've never experienced such a hard time finding work. The rates are 1/3 of what I was earning before the crash, because pay rates here are fixed by the three or four large companies in the area who are in collusion to drive down prices and wages... and this happens because the justice department is all on the take and doesn't give a fuck about serving anyone or anything but themselves and their rich buddies.

To survive, I was forced to cannibalize my savings and retirement, the last of which was a small IRA. This came in a year with mammoth expenses and not a single dollar of income. I filed no return that year thinking that because I didn't have any income there was no need. The sleazy government decided that they disagreed. But they didn't notify me in time for me to launch a legal objection so when I attempted to get a protest filed with the court I was told I was no longer entitled to due process because the time to file ran out. Bend over for another $10,000 helping of justice.

So now we come to the present. After my experience with the CPA world, following the business crash I swore that I'd never enter another accountant's office again. But here I am with a new marriage and a boatload of undocumented income, not to mention an expensive new business asset, a piano, which I had no idea how to handle. After considerable thought I decided that it would be irresponsible NOT to get professional help; a very big mistake.

When we received the forms back I was very optimistic that they were in order. I had taken all of the years information to Bill Ross, and he came back with results very similar to what I was expecting. Except that he had neglected to include the contents of Sheryl's unreported income; $12,700 worth of it. To make matters worse, Ross knew all along this was missing and I didn't have a clue until he pointed it out in the middle of the audit. By that time it had become brutally evident that he was representing himself and not me.

This left me stuck in the middle of this disaster trying to defend transactions that have no relationship to anything tax-related (at least the tax-related transactions were poorly documented). Things I never knew anything about and things my wife had no clue would ever matter to anyone. The end result is... well, just look around.

I remember reading about the stock market crash before the "great" depression and how there were wealthy bankers and businessmen jumping out of windows when they realized they screwed up and lost everything. Isn't it ironic how far we've come in 60 years in this country that they now know how to fix that little economic problem; they just steal from the middle class (who doesn't have any say in it, elections are a joke) to cover their asses and it's "business-as-usual". Now when the wealthy fuck up, the poor get to die for the mistakes... isn't that a clever, tidy solution.

As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone. The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government. Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough). In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.

I know I'm hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand. It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country, and it isn't limited to the blacks, and poor immigrants. I know there have been countless before me and there are sure to be as many after. But I also know that by not adding my body to the count, I insure nothing will change. I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at "big brother" while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won't continue; I have just had enough.

I can only hope that the numbers quickly get too big to be white washed and ignored that the American zombies wake up and revolt; it will take nothing less. I would only hope that by striking a nerve that stimulates the inevitable double standard, knee-jerk government reaction that results in more stupid draconian restrictions people wake up and begin to see the pompous political thugs and their mindless minions for what they are. Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn't so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer. The cruel joke is that the really big chunks of shit at the top have known this all along and have been laughing, at and using this awareness against, fools like me all along.

I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different. I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let's try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.

February 16, 2010: Are US Taxpayers Bailing Out Greece?

Last week we were reminded that ours is not the only country suffering from severe economic turmoil. The Greek government is the latest to come close to default on their massive public debt. Greece has insufficient funds in their treasury to make even the minimum payments that are now coming due. Their debt level is about 120 percent of their gross domestic product and their public sector absorbs what amounts to 40 percent of GDP. Any talk of cutting costs and spending is met with violent protests from the many Greeks heavily dependent on government payments. Mounting fears of …Continue reading »

AMERICAN DREAM IN A DEATH SPIRAL MODE NOW:

The American Dream, An Obituary - The American Revolution was an extraordinary event. The idea that freedom was an inherent right, that tyranny could be successfully opposed, that government could serve the people, not the few, was truly revolutionary in 1776—as it is today.

The American Revolution, however, has run its course; and unless resuscitated and given new life, the American dream and the dreams of America 's founding fathers will soon be only a memory. Dreams rarely come to pass and those that do rarely last. The American dream is no exception.

((((((END OF AMERICAN DREAM)))))))))

Thomas Jefferson warned 200 hundred years ago that if private bankers were allowed to issue America 's money, indebtedness, foreclosure and suffering would follow. Yet, in 1913, private bankers gained control over America 's money by the passage of the Federal Reserve Act.

We are now suffering for ignoring Jefferson 's warnings. Jefferson was right in predicting our problems but his words were overridden by those who had other plans for America , plans that would increase their profits at the expense of the nation.

It is no accident America is now an empty shell of the great economic power it once was. Bled dry by debt imposed by those whose sole intent was to profit, the US is now bankrupt at a time it desperately needs the resources it no longer has.

The US Treasury is now empty except for IOUs and only if others continue to buy America 's debts can America continue to go forward. Once we were creditors, now we are debtors. America cannot escape the consequences of what has been done but we can limit our problems if we undo their cause.

The Federal Reserve Act was enacted by Congress and signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson who later bitterly regretted what he had done to America .

I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.

Woodrow Wilson , US President

The power of the Federal Reserve System—a system controlled by a small group of dominant men —derives solely from is power to issue debt-based money in the form of US dollars and to charge interest on their issuance. We are paying our jailors for our enslavement and are fools for so doing. Who would have thought—except Jefferson .

Our Founding Fathers are screaming for another Revolution to Free the Republic from the clutches of Federal Reserve ALQAEDA terrorists now

They better find gainful employment for folks or people will start "snapping" all over. It was not those folks fault that work for "the man". He should have done the right thing and prayed. Taking ones life or the life of others is NOT the answer. With God we can do ANYTHING-Without Him we can do NOTHING. It is apparent our "Leaders" only consult with themselves. Pray for America to find her way-pray for people who feel as defeated as this person-pray for each other-Where else can we turn? Congress? Senate? President?-None are the answer-Look up when everything else looks down!

Wall Street's Bailout Hustle
Goldman Sachs and other big banks aren't just pocketing the trillions we gave them to rescue the economy - they're re-creating the conditions for another crash

MATT TAIBBI
On January 21st, Lloyd Blankfein left a peculiar voicemail message on the work phones of his employees at Goldman Sachs. Fast becoming America's pre-eminent Marvel Comics supervillain, the CEO used the call to deploy his secret weapon: a pair of giant, nuclear-powered testicles. In his message, Blankfein addressed his plan to pay out gigantic year-end bonuses amid widespread controversy over Goldman's role in precipitating the global financial crisis.

By Michael Wilson
Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
LONDON (Dow Jones)--Dogged by deep public-sector deficits and dubious budget accounting, Greece must soon test bond market sentiment again in order to cover its funding needs.

The nation's next bond issue could come as early as next week and market watchers will be scrutinizing it closely to see how readily Greece can refinance its maturing debts with new borrowing.

Greece will need to borrow EUR20 billion to repay debts coming due in April and May, out of a total of more than EUR54 billion of debt it has to issue this year.

Euro-zone nations have pledged their support for Greece, but have so far failed to put any hard cash on the table. Greece has until March 16 to begin cutting its budget deficit, with the European Union threatening to intervene if Athens doesn't deliver.

"The EU want to show they are behind the peripheral [euro-zone countries] without having to put their money where their mouths are," Deutsche Bank's Jim Reid said Thursday.

"Such commitment seems to be enough to stabilize the situation in the short term but will it be enough to leave it at that by the time the next funding point comes around? We're concerned that it won't be," he added.

So far this year, Greece has raised EUR13.6 billion via the sale of Treasury bills and bond syndications, according to the Public Debt Management Agency. In addition, the nation now reportedly plans to sell as much EUR5 billion worth of 10-year bonds as soon as next week, people familiar with the situation told Dow Jones Newswires Thursday.

However, investment bankers say investors are likely to be cautious after Greece's previous five-year syndicated bond performed badly. The bonds lost as much as 2.5% of their value soon after the issue, partly because of the decision to increase the size of the deal to EUR8 billion from the initial EUR3 billion to EUR5 billion.

"Part of the reason the Greek bond didn't perform is that is it was too big," one senior European syndicate banker said this week. This suggests that Greece will stay within its stated size limits because buyers will want to be sure they aren't going to suffer a repeat performance this time around.

Such concerns are balanced by the fact that other embattled sovereign borrowers have proved it is still possible to tap markets for cash at the right price.

Portugal, which has also been in the spotlight recently due to its large debt pile, passed a key test of investor sentiment last week when it managed to sell EUR3 billion in 10-year bonds.

The Spanish government also got a much-needed boost Wednesday when its new EUR5 billion bond issue was well received by investors.

"Peripheral concerns will have been soothed somewhat by the carefully managed issuance of EUR5 billion of 15-year notes by the Kingdom of Spain," said Barclays Capital's Puneet Sharma. "With a significant amount of issuance expected in 2010, the calm market reaction to this deal could encourage further transactions to come to market."

Both Portuguese and Spanish issues priced with a premium of around 0.1 percentage points over existing bonds, much less than the 0.5 percentage points Greece paid to sell its January deal. Bankers said that in an effort to bring down its debt-servicing costs, Greece will be looking to be "more aggressive" on its next issue.

Indeed, Greece needs to cut costs wherever possible if it is to bring its budget deficit of nearly 13% of gross domestic product within the European Union's 3% limit.

Greece is due to present its first deficit-reduction plan by March 16 for scrutiny by the EU, which puts Greece's government firmly between the proverbial rock and the hard place.

Some elements of the Greek population have already judged the current plan--which includes slashing four percentage points off the deficit this year through freezing or cutting wages, increasing taxes and capturing tax evaders--as too aggressive.

Thousands of Finance Ministry workers and customs officials walked out in a recent protest over the cuts. At the same time, customs officials have also declared a three-day strike, while tax officials taxi drivers and fuel-truck drivers are also threatening to strike.

However, Brussels has so far expressed only tentative support for the plan, with some EU officials saying the cuts aren't big enough. If the country's euro-zone partners aren't convinced by the report, they could force Greece to take even more painful steps to reduce its deficit.

Stavros,

Congrats. It seems that you've attracted quite an un-merry band of religious, political and economic extremists. I don’t have the time nor the inclination to regularly visit the site but it seems that each time I do the comments become more strident, more inflammatory and more likely to violate 18 U.S.C. § 371. Yikes.

If you become too closely associated with the inevitably chargeable wing-nuts you’ll attract unwanted attention that will only end in personal drama. You don't want to end up on the HT, front page, above the fold, for completely unrelated reasons.

My advice is to focus on the ~$56tn landslide.

Seems to me that if the Justice Dept. ever got off their butts and investigated, Greenspan, Bernanke, Geithner, Paulson, Summers and about 450 of those crooks in Congress and a bunch of the Wall Street maggots could all face charges under that statute. Fraud is a crime, along with perjury and extortion.

I wonder how many sunglassed NSA suits are hiding on rooftops around the Capital with Shoulder Launched Stingers? Pity the poor rookie pilot who strays to close. I wonder if Goldman Sachs has any suits with Stingers? Hell yeah, if you get H1N1 meds. before anyone else, concealed carry permits in NYC, and all our money, of course you get suits with Stingers.

Back ON TOPIC; Mr Stack states in his letter,

"Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn't so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer."

Only an engineer could be so fucking PRECISE. And RIGHT!

What kind of BULLSHIT arguments do those who are CRITICAL of Mr Stack's actions have to offer us now? Because where some dipshits may see an act of "terrorism" ...*I* see a probable act of extreme PATRIOTISM!

You see, when it's CONVENIENT to THEIR needs our beloved U.S. Federal government COMPLETELY AGREES WITH JOSEPH STACK insofar as to the necessity for VIOLENCE in order to solve any given problem. Which is why we invade (wrong!) countries, bomb evaporated-milk factories and demolish elementary schools. With the kids STILL IN THEM. You see we needed to BLOW ALL THESE PEOPLE TO BITS IN ORDER TO *SAVE* THEM from themselves!!!.

Well take note politicians and OTHER assorted scumbag motherfuckers; because THAT'S EXACTLY what Mr. Joseph Stacks did; he blew-up a government office in order to save it from itself.

And I think the U.S. Federal government could use some MORE 'saving'.

@Gomper and the law shit rant
From Rasmussen:

The founding document of the United States, the Declaration of Independence, states that governments derive “their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Today, however, just 21% of voters nationwide believe that the federal government enjoys the consent of the governed.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 61% disagree and say the government does not have the necessary consent. Eighteen percent (18%) of voters are not sure.

consent.

In light of what happened today in Austin TX, this ought to be resulting in sobering reflection among the "political class." It won't, but it should.

Why?

Historians have estimated that between 15 and 20 percent of the white population of the colonies were Loyalists.[2] Historian Robert Middlekauff estimates that about 500,000 colonists, or 19 percent of the white population, remained loyal to Britain.[3]

I had no idea the numbers were this bad at present, but I was aware that in 1776 about 20% of the population was in fact in support of Britain.

I think it's getting to be about time to....

Ken says...But I am puzzled here, Why Ken only gets attacked here?

"Worlds are colliding!! George is gettin very upset!!"

Yes, KENBOT refers to himself in the third person like George on Seinfeld.

This may help understand Kenbot...

Schizoid personality disorder is a condition in which people avoid social activities and consistently shy away from interaction with others. People with the disorder are generally loners with a profound inability to connect with others and form personal relationships.

To others, people with schizoid personality disorder may appear aloof, dull or humorless, and they're often ignored in social settings. People with schizoid personality disorder show a flattened or restricted range of emotions, and can appear indifferent to what's going on around them. However, their inner life can be rife with a deep emotional need, sensitivity and confusion about the world around them.

The cause of schizoid personality disorder is unknown. Some therapeutic approaches and medications may help relieve some symptoms of schizoid personality disorder.

Video: Bill O'Reilly Interviews Oath Keepers Founder Stewart Rhodes - 02/18/10

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Po8LLjIlDw&feature=player_embedded

O'Reilly...is at the 4:00 mark...when Bill asks the question with much attitude..."we are in a battle for the hearts and minds of our troops...WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?"

ALL of this grass roots organizing; many groups, NO LEADER...is in a battle for the hearts and minds of ALL Americans...issue by issue, occupation by occupation...and instead of conceding that the Constitution has been outright discarded by MOST politicians, Fox News Channel continues the mantra that what we believe is a JOKE...

Well, they'll see how much of a joke we are soon enough; because his arrogant attitude just pisses average Americans off...as Intellectuals and Society points out; 99% of the knowledge necessary in order for us to remain free, and live peaceably in providing mutual accommodations to each other from community to community is with "We The People"; and not the 1% who hold elected office(and REFUSE to listen to us), and the media who do the bidding of the government because it attaches them to POWER.

NEO-CONS (Beck/O'Reily/Hannity).......Propaganda machine at work to screw Dr. Ron Paul Revolution

Why does O'reilly try to belittle patriots like Stewart Rhodes and yet claim to be a conservative?

O'Reilly is not a friend of the liberty movement.O'Reilly has insulted the military - which will work in our favor. Stuart Rhodes IS military and that makes him a lot more credible than BOR.

Yes, back to topic (!)
I certainly can empathise with brother Stack. But trust me, it can get A LOT WORSE than just personal bankruptcy and harassment. He says he was naive. He was. Government can be used as a force for evil when it is manipulated by evil forces, and that is the lesson naive Joe should have learned. If we become a nation of terrorists, what will we accomplish?
Yes, one side of me feels like he was justified--the other side feels like a week from now no one will remember him.

My advice. Anyone here compelled to crash a plane into a buiding should breathe deeply, count to ten and try and calm down (judging from the posts some of you should be doing that anyway).
Anarchy and violence simply aren't the answer.

He would have accomplished more by robbing a federally insured bank and fleeing to a non-extradition country.

"He would have accomplished more by robbing a federally insured bank and fleeing to a non-extradition country."

That would have made him a common criminal felon. The method he chose tragic as it was, will eventually have him recognized as a patriot at the end of his rope, trying to call attention to the corruption overwhelming him.
I think everybody got the message. I am surprised his letter is available for everyone to read. He doesn't sound like the deranged terrorist the main stream media is portraying him as.

The Government is being manipulated by evil forces! Congress and the Administration ignore the Voters, they paid no attention to the economic advisors, scholars, professionals who told them the TARP and the Stimulus were the wrong things to do. Wall Street and the big banks obviously needed our money more than we do and the Stimulus is turning out to be more of a waste of money than a benefit. They tried to turn Health Care Reform into more power for the insurance and drug companies. They want to reform Social Security so the Govt. won't have to honor the over two trillion dollars they have raided the trust fund surplus for. The Elite who control the Govt. are evil plain and simple. Mr Stacks statement.

"Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn't so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer."

May be right.

"If we become a nation of terrorists, what will we accomplish?"

Uh, we already ARE a nation of terrorists.

When we're attacked by an extremist group hiding in country A, we attack and invade country B instead in retaliation; causing massive death and destruction of innocent lives and property.

When we feel our liberties are being THREATENED, we just SUSPEND them and start torturing people left and right. And while we're TORTURING, we like to take snapshots posing next to mutilated corpses giving a THUMBS UP sign.

When we feel our 'American Way of Life' (copyright) is threatened, we like to defend it by forcing people to pile-up naked into human pyramids in order to show the world our sense of dignity and decency. Oh yeah, we sure KNOW how to win the hearts & minds of people!

I could go on and on and on, but doing so would INFURIATE ME more than I already am ..and *I* do NOT know how to pilot an aircraft.

@ Ken,

I am not interested in hanging you, but you should be more aware of the bigger picture. Remember when Postal workers were shooting one another, and people kept walking into a certain fast food restaraunt and shooting people? That translated into more loss of personal freedom (gun bans, etc.). What do you think an increase of stupidity will do? That building was insured, but someone lost their father and husband, who tried to burn the house down with them in it by the way...

Not my kind of hero, but Osama, now he loves that kind of guy...

The power is at the polls... But it will not be effective if we just keep changing the pre approved corporate puppets of the pretend two party system.

As to JTS, you are finding no ally there Ken, Jake the Snake and I will be drinking beer and pissing by the road waving at the neighbors as they drive by in about an hour. By Midnight we might even try our hand at cow tipping, stranger things have happened...

Keep it out of my happy little community Ken, I might surprise you.

SNK is probably prudently sitting this one out. She doesn't want the FBI potentially rummaging thru her personal things in exchange for having participated in such "subversive" commentary as ours. Smart girl!

Anyway, they'll STILL eventually get her -down the road- for SOMETHING else ...

RLR--I like your humor. Fortunately, I happen to be completely harmless to everyone except myself. Oh, and Arianna Huffington. Yeah--I'm pretty dangerous to Arianna. And it makes me unnervingly happy to think that little thought, ha ha.

Anyhow--and this is all IMHO, thanks in advance for the indulgence--I hope you guys who like to rage on (almost) indiscriminately come down from your anger eventually. Anger is a very destructive emotion. Plus, when was the last time you ever listened to or learned something from an angry person? It's rare. You have got to move through it and get to the other side. Then people will actually start listening to you. You can help educate people. We need a large force of informed people to create the change we want and those of you stuck on anger are inhibiting progress of the movement. Talk to me. I have very extensive experience in helping people work through their anger. Or talk to someone else. Just try to move it forward. Only when you are on the other side of you anger will you be truly effective.

I don't much care to comment on this stupid guy who clumsily crashed his plane into a building (btw--did he check if there were any innocent children or other frustrated taxpayers just trying to make their case standing around before he committed his murder spree?) because I have been busy watching a community mourn the loss of a fifteen year old boy who committed suicide on Wednesday. There is a profound difference between someone who takes his own life out of despair and one who does so out of anger. The first retains some human nobility even though the event is bathed in immense sadness and regret while the second merely displays a common cowardice and selfishness.

Then you go and compare peoples' reactions. The first touches people intensely and disconcertingly while the second inspires false bravado--and it is all completely false. I just am finding it all extremely poignant.

Think harder about what you really, really want.
