Janet Yellen: This Is Not A Bubble Economy

From Yesterday's Federal Reserve Lovefest

Bernanke does not like deferring to Janet. He misses the spotlight. I've watched a few hours from this particular Fed Party Royale and it's obvious from his body language. QE is in his blood and he wants back in the game. The Brookings Institution doesn't have a Plunge Protection Team. Where's the fun in that.

Janet Yellen discusses the U.S. economy at the Historic Fed Chair Conversation at International House in New York featuring Volcker, Greenspan, and Bernanke. In the second half of the clip Yellen is asked about the real unemployment rate and whether that figure might be above 20%. She murmurs some nonsense about 9%. John Williams of Shadow Stats has pegged the real unemployment rate (calculated as it was during the Depression) at above 20%.

I was able to listen to part of this broadcast as I travelled the dismal road to perdition. Zacharia, that simple minded wad who can't help but be a serial plagiarist, hosted this event at the International House. The opening remarks given by the head of JP Morgan. Can't think of the guys name presently, the one that doesn't have cancer, unfortunately. Anyway, these guys laughed off a couple of jokes and shit. Would have been a good day for a natural gas leak, but sometimes you have to take what God gives you. The one thing that can give you goose bumps in regards this event is that you know that one day, eventually, these fuckers will die.

Makes me wonder two things. How Zacharia keeps a fucking job and how in the name of all that is good can he keep his teeth so amazingly white. The fact that these chair satans all agreed to be on the same stage as this twat should be called a hint.

I don't know the answer to either. I though Zakaria would be let go by CNN after the plagiarism blowup, but he survived somehow.
