Australian lawyer smokes pages of Bible and Koran, asking 'Which is best?'

An Australian lawyer, Alex Stewart, has smoked pages torn from the Koran and the Bible, posting the video on YouTube just days after an American Pastor's threat to burn the Muslim holy book caused worldwide outrage.

Further proof that many American voters put salesmanship and relate-ability over everything else when it comes to elected officials. The same criteria that makes for a good used car salesman or a frat house president are the same that leads to bright future inside the 495 beltway.

TORONTO (Reuters) – In his new film "The Conspirator," director Robert Redford digs into a little-known angle of one of the best-known moments in American history: the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.

Instead of dealing with the shooting in the Ford's Theater in Washington, already a movie subject, Redford takes aim at a back story to the 1865 assassination of the U.S. president -- a complex plot that resulted in seven men and one woman being arrested and charged with conspiring to kill the president, the vice president, and

DB, I don't understand this clup. Switching McCain's policies for Obama's policies??? McCain and Obama are the same. They would have governed the same? They are a part of the same party? Please explain....

@ Z,

It's a test of "I agree with whatever you say because I'm your fanboy" versus individual agreement on POTUS' policies.

By using McCain's old election policies and subtly disguising them as Obama's, the people in the study automatically said they agreed with those policies b/c they assumed it came from Obama instead of critically thinking about it for themselves. Meaning, they were either pro-life and pro-war, which Obama was against, or they just agreed with the questioner b/c he said Obama was for it.

(Coughs: sheeple)

So theoretically, Obama, or any other well liked POTUS for that matter, could set nearly policy he wanted, as long as it wasn't something outlandish and he retained his superstar status.

Stem-cell? Typical wedge issue.

War in Iraq? Well, Obama hardly kept his promises on that. May as well be McCain.

Sarah Palin? A bullet best dodged, not a policy.
