HILLARY'S CLIMATE PLAN INFESTED WITH CRONYISM

Clinton: I Will Give Green Donors More Help From The Government

Hillary says she will give more taxpayer money to her green donors if elected president.

Clinton was referring to a “$2,700-a-head fundraiser at the home of Tonya and Michael Polsky, the CEO and president of Invenergy, and hosted by four others whose companies received ‘help from the government’ in the form of $2.2 billion in taxpayer-funded cash grants to boost wind, solar and hydroelectric-based projects.”

Polsky, a major Democratic fundraiser, has benefited from more than $662 million in government subsidies to his company.

I hope everyone enjoyed the humor at the end regarding Cannes which was the lead in to the Paris Climate Accords. Here is something else that went down:

Pelosi to Obama: boost U.S. biofuels program ahead of Paris talks

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-biofuels-pelosi-idUSKCN0T834N20151120

U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and three other lawmakers are pressing President Barack Obama not to back-peddle on the country's biofuels program just days ahead of global climate change talks in Paris.

The Democratic Representatives - Pelosi from California, Steny Hoyer from Maryland, Collin Peterson from Minnesota, and David Loebsack from Iowa - asked the administration to rethink a proposal for the controversial Renewable Fuel Standard and to keep the program "robust" in a letter dated Nov. 18.

The push comes just over a week ahead of a Nov. 30 deadline for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to finalize mandates for renewable fuels use through 2016. That date coincides with the start of the Paris discussions.

EXCLUSIVE: Disgraced Clinton Donor Got $13M In State Dept Grants Under Hillary

http://dailycaller.com/2016/04/17/exclusive-disgraced-clinton-donor-got-13m-in-state-dept-grants-under-hillary/

Hillary Clinton’s Department of State awarded at least $13 million in grants, contracts and loans to her longtime friend and Clinton Foundation donor Muhammad Yunus, despite his being ousted in 2011 as managing director of the Bangladesh-based Grameen Bank amid charges of corruption, according to an investigation by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

The tax funds were given to Yunus through 18 separate U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) award transactions listed by the federal contracting site USAspending.gov.

They highlight how Clinton mixed official government business with Clinton Foundation donors. Yunus gave between $100,000 to $300,000 to the foundation, according to the Clinton Foundation website.

Groups allied to Yunus received an additional $11 million from USAID, according to the contracting website. Yunus had business relationships with all of them.

Waste, Violations in $25 Mil Program to Fight Climate Change in Guatemala

http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2016/05/waste-violations-in-25-mil-program-to-fight-climate-change-in-guatemala/

This one is officially known as Climate Nature and Communities in Guatemala (CNCG) and it’s a tiny slice of the president’s broad and costly initiative to conquer global warming in developing nations. The goal is to conserve Guatemala’s wealth of natural resources and support the country’s efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Since the U.S. launched CNCG in 2013, nearly half of the money allocated has been disbursed to a New York-based nonprofit called Rainforest Alliance that oversees a consortium of environmental, academic and business institutions. This group gets a lot of money from Uncle Sam for its various biodiversity conservation causes and, not surprisingly, there’s lots of waste and mismanagement.

In the Guatemala program the issues are documented in a federal audit that blasts Rainforest Alliance for violating government funding rules by, among other things, failing to contribute its share of costs under this contract. Under the arrangement, the U.S. gives the nonprofit $25 million and it agrees to contribute $3.75 as “cost sharing.” The group’s portion must come from in-kind contributions or other sources but can’t come from the government. The audit reveals that Rainforest Alliance claimed it met its cost sharing obligations in the Guatemala program with cash it received from the government under a different deal for firefighting. “Including the firefighting funds as part of cost sharing has resulted in overstating the actual cost share amount by $26,708,” the audit says. “Lack of monitoring by the implementer and the mission can lead to reporting inaccurate information and prevent them from complying with the agreement.”

This is just a snippet of the pervasive fraud and corruption in the vast majority of the administration’s green initiatives. Besides failed domestic programs like the ones mentioned earlier, the U.S. has spent billions to fight global warming in poor countries, mainly through a program known as Global Climate Change Initiative. The cash keeps flowing into its coffers because the administration claims that climate change is one of the century’s greatest challenges that can compound pre-existing social stresses, including poverty, hunger, conflict, migration and the spread of disease. The U.S. also contributes to climate change causes via a multi-billion-dollar World Bank initiative to combat its effects in poor and African and Asian countries that stand to suffer most. The U.S. is the World Bank’s largest contributor so Americans are getting stuck with a huge chunk of that tab.

http://www.clintonfoundation.org/main/news-and-media/press-releases-and-statements/president-clinton-frank-giustra-and-marco-a-slim-visit-projects-to-foster-growth-in-latin-america.html

New York, NY— On May 13th-15th, President Bill Clinton, philanthropist Frank Giustra, and Marco A. Slim traveled to Peru and Colombia, where they visited projects of the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership, an initiative of the Clinton Foundation previously known as the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative.

During the trip, the delegation signed an agreement with the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade & Tourism and launched a remote distribution project in conjunction with Nestlé and Procter & Gamble. They also inaugurated new ventures that will create jobs and train local workers in Colombia.

“The Clinton Foundation projects that we visited are helping disadvantaged communities in Latin America to lift their incomes and prosperity,” said President Clinton. “Through the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership, we are helping train 20,000 workers in Cartagena for opportunities in the tourism industry, ensuring that small producers benefit from the growing hospitality sector in Cusco, and enabling female entrepreneurs in rural areas of Peru to grow their businesses. I am proud of what we have achieved in Colombia and Peru, working with the Government and with partners like the Carlos Slim Foundation, and I look forward to continuing to promote entrepreneurship and opportunity in Latin America, particularly for those at the base of the pyramid.”

Giustra has since committed more than $100 million to the work of the Clinton Foundation, becoming one of the largest individual donors to the family’s charities.

Clinton has also gained regular transportation, borrowing Giustra’s plane 26 times for foundation business since 2005, including 13 trips in which the two men traveled together. The numbers on Clinton’s use of the plane, never previously reported, were provided by a spokeswoman for Giustra.

The relationship has gained attention as Hillary Rodham Clinton has launched her presidential campaign amid questions about whether the Clinton Foundation has served as an avenue for wealthy interests to gain entree to a powerful family.

Giustra, 57, a Vancouver, B.C.-based mogul whose eclectic business interests include founding Lionsgate Entertainment and investing in gold mines and an olive oil company, has come to symbolize a relatively new but substantial category of Clinton backers: foreign donors who are not legally eligible to contribute to U.S. political candidates but grew close to the Clintons through the charity.

Did Clinton Foundation donation from Colombian oil company result in favorable trade agreement?

http://legalinsurrection.com/2015/04/did-clinton-foundation-donation-from-columbian-oil-company-result-in-favorable-trade-agreement/

A report released today by the International Business Times suggests the Clinton Foundation was indeed a thoroughfare for trading influence and political favors.

Unless of course the timing was purely coincidental, IBT’s report indicates the Clinton Foundation accepted money from a Colombian oil company while Clinton was serving as Secretary of State. After procuring the donation, Secretary Clinton then decided to support a Colombian trade agreement, though she’d vocally opposed it during the 2008 election cycle.

The IBT report found:

For union organizers in Colombia, the dangers of their trade were intensifying. When workers at the country’s largest independent oil company staged a strike in 2011, the Colombian military rounded them up at gunpoint and threatened violence if they failed to disband, according to human rights organizations. Similar intimidation tactics against the workers, say labor leaders, amounted to an everyday feature of life.

…Yet as union leaders and human rights activists conveyed these harrowing reports of violence to then-Secretary of State Clinton in late 2011, urging her to pressure the Colombian government to protect labor organizers, she responded first with silence, these organizers say. The State Department publicly praised Colombia’s progress on human rights, thereby permitting hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. aid to flow to the same Colombian military that labor activists say helped intimidate workers.

At the same time that Clinton’s State Department was lauding Colombia’s human rights record, her family was forging a financial relationship with Pacific Rubiales, the sprawling Canadian petroleum company at the center of Colombia’s labor strife. The Clintons were also developing commercial ties with the oil giant’s founder, Canadian financier Frank Giustra, who now occupies a seat on the board of the Clinton Foundation, the family’s global philanthropic empire.

Nanex ~ 20-Sep-2013 ~ Einstein and The Great Fed Robbery

http://www.nanex.net/aqck2/4436.html

Original Paper

One of Einstein's great contributions to mankind was the theory of relativity, which is based on the fact that there is a real limit on the speed of light. Information doesn't travel instantly, it is limited by the speed of light, which in a perfect setting is 186 miles (300km) per millisecond. This has been proven in countless scientific experiments over nearly a century of time. Light, or anything else, has never been found to go faster than 186 miles per millisecond. It is simply impossible to transmit information faster.

Too bad the bad guys on Wall Street who pulled off The Great Fed Robbery didn't pay attention in science class. Because hard evidence, along with the speed of light, proves that someone got the Fed announcement news before everyone else. There is simply no way for Wall Street to squirm its way out of this one.

Before 2pm, the Fed news was given to a group of reporters under embargo - which means in a secured lock-up room. This is done so reporters have time to write their stories and publish when the Fed releases its statement at 2pm. The lock-up room is in Washington DC. Stocks are traded in New York (New Jersey really),

===== My comment======

Technically and physically speaking, the trades do actually happen in NEW JERSEY. Nanex has shown absolute proof of this time and time again.

and many financial futures are traded in Chicago. The distances between these 3 cities and the speed of light is key to proving the theft of public information (early, tradeable access to Fed news).

We've learned that the speed of light (information), takes 1 millisecond to travel 186 miles (300km). Therefore, the amount of time it takes to transmit information between two points is limited by distance and how fast computers can encode and decode the information on both sides. Our experience analyzing the impact of hundreds of news events at the millisecond level tells us that it takes at least 5 milliseconds for information to travel between Chicago and New York. Even though Chicago is closer to Washington DC than New York, the path between the two cities is not straight or optimized: so it takes information a bit longer, about 7 milliseconds, to travel between Chicago and Washington. It takes little under 2 milliseconds between Washington and New York.

Clinton suffers primary setback as Trump marches toward November

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-idUSKCN0Y2119

U.S. Democratic White House candidate Hillary Clinton lost the primary to Bernie Sanders in economically struggling West Virginia on Tuesday, possibly signaling trouble for her in industrial states in the November general election.

A remark Clinton made at an Ohio town hall in March that the country would "put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business" may have hurt her with voters in coal-mining states such as West Virginia.

During Clinton's visit to West Virginia and Ohio last week she repeatedly apologized to displaced coal and steel workers for her comment and discussed her plan to help retrain coal workers for clean energy jobs.

Exit polls: Nearly half of W.Va. Sanders backers would vote Trump

Nearly half of the voters in the West Virginia Democratic primary who backed Bernie Sanders say they would vote for Republican Donald Trump in the fall presidential election, according to exit polls reported by CBS News.

Forty-four percent of Sanders supporters surveyed said they would rather back the presumptive GOP nominee in November, with only 23 percent saying they'd support Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. And 31 percent said would support neither candidate in the likely general election match-up.

The Clinton Foundation Gave $2 Million to Friends in the Energy Business

http://theweek.com/speedreads/624198/clintons-reportedly-used-charity-give-2-million-friends-company

One of the Clinton Global Initiative's latest donations reportedly went to helping out Bill and Hillary Clinton's friends, The Wall Street Journal reports. While the charitable organization usually aims to give money to charities and nongovernmental organizations to serve its mission of helping to solve the world's problems, in September 2010, the tax-exempt charity committed $2 million to Energy Pioneer Solutions, Inc., a for-profit organization. The company, which is committed to delivering "energy savings to communities in rural America," also happens to be partly owned by people with close ties to the Clintons, The Wall Street Journal notes, including "a current and former Democratic official and a close friend of former President Bill Clinton."

Apparently, the company was placed on the agenda for a September 2010 conference of the Clinton Global Initiative at Bill Clinton's "urging." Clinton also reportedly "personally endorsed" the company for a federal grant to then-Energy Secretary Steven Chu. Energy Pioneer Solutions ended up receiving an $812,000 Energy Department grant.

This all points to the possibility that the Clinton Global Initiative may have been acting in someone's private interest, as opposed to in the public interest, as the Internal Revenue Service mandates that tax-exempt charitable organizations do. A Clinton Foundation spokesman says that the commitment was actually an instance of "mission-driven investing…in and by for-profit companies," which he said "is a common practice in the broader philanthropic space, as well as among CGI commitments."

Read the full story on the Clintons' donation over at The Wall Street Journal.

BREAKING: CEI Defeats RICO-20 Ringleader Shukla In FOIA Lawsuit – Emails are made public

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2016/05/13/breaking-cei-defeats-rico-20-ringleader-shukla-in-foia-lawsuit-emails-to-be-made-public/

George Mason University Must Release Documents Calling for Prosecution of Political Opponents

The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) prevailed in a Virginia Freedom of Information Act (VFOIA) lawsuit against George Mason University (GMU). The VFOIA request sought public records showing how the “RICO-20” group of academics, using public funding, organized their call for a federal racketeering investigation of “corporations and other entities” who disagreed with them on climate policy.

The judge ruled for CEI on all counts in an April 22 ruling in Christopher Horner and CEI v. George Mason University that the court released today. The ruling concluded that by leaving it to faculty who simply told the school’s FOIA officer they had no responsive records, GMU failed to conduct an adequate search; the judge also ruled that documents including emails from GMU Professor Ed Maibach must be released to CEI.

“This victory puts on notice those academics who have increasingly inserted themselves into politics, that they cannot use taxpayer-funded positions to go after those who disagree with them and expect to hide it,” said Chris Horner, CEI fellow and co-plaintiff. “These records are highly relevant to the state attorneys general campaign that these academics hoped for, and will be of great assistance to the public in trying to understand how their tax dollars are being used for political fights.”

Clinton Rolls Out Plan to Use Federal Land for Renewable Energy

http://morningconsult.com/alert/clinton-rolls-plan-use-federal-land-renewable-energy/

Hillary Clinton wants to increase renewable energy generation on public lands and in offshore water, the Democratic presidential hopeful wrote in an op-ed published in The Mercury News on Wednesday.

“Now, as we work to combat climate change and build America into the world’s clean energy superpower, our public lands can once again play a key role in unlocking the resources we need,” Clinton wrote. “While protecting sensitive areas where development poses too great a risk, we can accelerate our transition to a clean energy economy by increasing renewable energy generation on public lands and offshore waters tenfold within a decade.”

Clinton’s plan for federal lands also includes goals to double the national outdoor economy in the next 10 years and produce up to $700 billion in new economic activity, increase federal investment in water conservation, and establish a trust fund to support parks and public lands.

Clinton also said she would work to make sure new lands and monuments represent America’s diversity and include more women, minorities and members of the LGBT community.

The op-ed, published in a San Jose newspaper, comes less than a week before the state heads to its June 7 primary.
