U.S. prosecutors are considering possible criminal charges against SAC Capital Advisors LP as a result of the government’s insider-trading investigation of the hedge-fund firm, according to people familiar with the matter.

The move came before the company told clients Friday that it will no longer provide “unconditional” cooperation with the multiyear probe of SAC and billionaire founder Steven A. Cohen. The firm didn’t tell clients the reason for the reversal.

Have you guys followed the story about the acquaintance of Tamerlane Tsarnaev who was killed in Florida by FBI and or police officers while undergoing questioning? His father revealed photos of the body that showed at least one shot to the head, plus 5 or 6 to the body. WTF? Initial claims were that the kid had a knife. Then the claim was that he lunged for an agent's weapon. Now it's been acknowledged that he was unarmed and there is an "investigation." Plus, he told his friend or housemate to call his parents if something happened to him. Oh yeah, he was supposed to go home to Russia just two days before he died. Weird.
