Gen. McChrystal And The Pat Tillman Coverup
McChrystal played a leading role in the orchestrated cover-up of the circumstances surrounding the 2004 death in Afghanistan of former NFL Pro Bowler Pat Tillman.

If President Obama had listened to Army Cpl. Pat Tillman's parents, Gen. Stanley McChrystal would never have been in charge of the Afghanistan war in the first place.
Back when McChrystal was appointed, Mary Tillman e-mailed Obama, reminding him that the general had helped cover up the circumstances of her son's death in 2004 in Afghanistan. The father made a public declaration.
"I do believe that guy participated in a falsified homicide investigation," Pat Tillman Sr. said.
McChrystal likely knew within 24 hours of Tillman's demise that the professional football star-turned-star Army volunteer had been killed by friendly fire.
Yet, he endorsed a recommendation that Tillman receive a posthumous Silver Star for valor in the face of "devastating enemy fire." He would later say he "didn't review the citation well enough," describing it as "poorly written."
"I didn't catch that if you read it you could imply it was not friendly fire," McChrystal garbled under oath to Congress last year.
Sure. The second sentence of the citation reads, "Cpl. Tillman put himself in the line of devastating enemy fire as he maneuvered his fire team to a covered position from which they could effectively employ their weapons on known enemy positions."
The citation goes on to say, "While mortally wounded, his audacious leadership and courageous example under fire inspired his men to fight with great risk to their own personal safety, resulting in the enemy's withdrawal and his platoon's safe passage from the ambush kill zone. Cpl. Tillman's personal courage, tactical expertise and professional competence directly contributed to this platoon's overall success and survival."
Only, there was no enemy fire, no enemy withdrawal, no ambush kill zone, no fighting and certainly no overall success.

On day 1 there will be 900,000 men and women out and about, armed with high powered rifles, shotguns and pistols.
One state.
Perhaps the general (and his associates) would like to join in?
