Friday Afternoon Reading (May 21, 2010)
Excellent links this afternoon. Big comedy mash post coming up, so check back.

First I would like to remind our 15,000 email and RSS readers who rarely, if ever, visit the site (aren't you glad we provide full-feed rss), that we have a second page called HEADLINES where we post some of our contributor's editorials and also videos. In addition, I have a habit of filling the comments sections of all of our stories with tons of links, some related and some not. I read (skim) approximately 200 articles per day and most of them end up in the various comment sections. So if you're into that sort of thing, you might want to start checking out comments.

The next several weeks will be critically important for politicians, regulators and the larger U.S. economy. First, over the next week Capitol Hill will decide on potentially game-changing regulatory reform that could result in the unintended consequences of restricting credit and further damaging small businesses.

Funny how the answers to the poll do not get to the root of the problem...
Layoff civilian workers
Freeze civilian workers' pay
Cut civilian workers' pay
None of the above. I am opposed to layoffs, pay cuts or freezes
Why not pay all Federal workers minimum wage since they do nothing to build America, only to tear it down.
I propose not to hold off until you earn enough amount of money to buy all you need! You can just get the business loans or just credit loan and feel yourself fine

The names keep changing, but look at the writing.
The officials said they were increasingly convinced that Mr. Kim ordered the sinking of the ship, the Cheonan, to help secure the succession of his youngest son.
“We can’t say it is established fact,” said one senior American official who was involved in the highly classified assessment, based on information collected by many of the country’s 16 intelligence agencies.
Nixon (R) approved reparations in the "peace" agreement
Neither party wants this info to surface as it would obviously be very politically damning to all herd leaders of both herds and their "legacies" since the action ended. Especially those who have worked so hard to bury it, like Mr. McCain.

Palin would have wanted to build a bridge, and then deny it.
