Oct. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Twelve Moscow State University journalism students posed in lingerie for a calendar congratulating Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on his 58th birthday, which he celebrates today. The 259-ruble ($8.73) calendar, which went on sale in Groupe Auchan SA supermarkets in the capital yesterday, features female students and captions such as “You put out the forest fires, but I’m still burning.” Bloomberg's Scarlet Fu reports. I dont get it. Why are the banks to blame ? If these ppl took out a loan with an ADj rate then they screwed themselves ! When I bought my home, I looked into a few banks and a few different loan tyoes. Then I went and talked to ppl. One of those being my Father who said, "Your F'ing crazy if you take an adjustable rate loan...It may be cheap now, but in 15-20 years it could be twice what it is now....Hell no ! He said, " you take the 7.25 fixed over 30 yrs and pay the f'er off early" !! He said he had seen interest rates in the high teens and at 7.25 I was getting a hell of a deal !! So I did.....and nothing in the meltdown has effected me one bit. Now, I realize, not everyone has a father that they can go and ask (and, sadly mine has passed on, So i dont either...but I still have his lessons !) But, the internet was up and running thru all of this....And the Library has been around for a hundred years or more ! So I still just dont get it.......
jm...i agree that's why i didn't comment on the song above...
now it's complicated in her case because she stopped paying in order to qualify for a loan mod...and then they took her house...but i don't have sympathy for people who want something for nothing...she should be happy they foreclosed and now she is free of the house no recourse...

Despite these two excellent CNBC guests, the clip isn't worth the 10 minutes it takes to get through.

Diana Olick has her doubts. The comments on the article are quite telling for a CNBC piece.
