I always enjoy Marc Faber's comments to start my day. He makes me feel lucky that the sun is shining.

In the mean time, i.e., between now and the final collapse, the plebes are treated to porno circuses starring the head of the CIA, best embodied in the "Cloak and Shag Her" headline from the New York Post:

SKINFLINT I have asked my superannuation account managers exactly that question, no reply in 2 months, I resent the email again yesterday and got a template, "we have forwarded this to our appropriate managers" for a response, response. I want to know that the money of mine, that I have allowed them access too, to manage is going to be given to me before it is worth nothing.

Talk about irony. The bankers and their ilk pay off our political hacks to do their bidding. The pols understand the difficult position that we are in and instead of taking decisive action and promoting the rule of law, they let these cretins off the hook. Then they have the audacity to come before their constituents in town hall meetings and wonder why in the hell they get met with an irate citizenry. Holler and scream at them as if they are stupid, then cower behind a wall of police officers. Everyone understands to the core of their being the rip off. They might not understand just how pernicious the rip off is, but they know it exists. And now here we are on the precipice, and in my view, the begiinning of the fall, being treated by an all out assault media blitz on the foibles of a couple of middle aged men and their geisha girls.

SKINFLINT: You get town hall meetings? Shit we get to see our muppets once every 4 years when they want to get re-elected. You can try and get in touch by email or in writing and get template answers, or make an appointment in their offices, but good luck, they are never around.

Dave. Advantages of living in a small town. Course I have lived here for about 30 plus years now. I have seen my local congressman at the local parade in town. I have seen the guys who want to be in office locally and have been able to chat them up. My congressman's office, until recently was a block off Main St. Now the political hacks out of Annapolis only come around for photo ops. We did have one of our Senators come to town to talk to a senior citizen center and spoke in broad generalities. When he left the folks there were more confused than before in that he never answered any direct questions. Here is a wonderful speech from one of our Senators. I could bore you with some stories on this one, but alas, just watch this speech. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7S7fpN8-gt0

My assets are currently -$100,000 or so. 50% sounds pretty good. Although it may as well be the moon.

He's always saying the same thing. Doesn't it devalue what Faber says when doom is baked into his schtick?
