Donald Trump With Joe Kernen On The Debt Ceiling Deal: "The Cuts Are A Joke And Obama Is Incompetent"

Video - Donald Trump on Squawk Box - Aug. 1, 2011

"Eventually you have to balance the budget.  And this is a long way from balancing the budget, and this is just a joke.  This is a down-payment at most.  Now the President got something that was just fantastic.  He got the deal past the election.  If he had this going on again -- and it will go on in drips and drabs -- the fact is if this were going on sometime during the election he would have zero chance of getting reelected.  That was the only thing he was really fighting for."

"Our leaders are not as smart as leaders in China. China is eating our lunch. Obama is incompetent or close to incompetent.  When I say incompetent, he's competent at getting elected and re-elected but as far as running a country he's incompetent."

China continues to manipulate its currency to give it an unfair edge in global trade.

"Our product is better than their product, but when they can price it due to a manipulation of currency at a lower number, so much lower that you really have to buy there, our leaders are not doing their job."

To restore business confidence in the country, the government needs to somehow tax countries that "abuse" the U.S. and focus more on rebuilding the U.S. and less on rebuilding Iraq and Afghanistan.

"We put up a school in Afghanistan and they blow it up. We rebuild it and they blow it up again and we rebuild it a third time.  In Brooklyn we can't get schools built. In Iowa you can't get schools built.  We have to look inward, we have to get back to rebuilding this country."

This is not an endorsement of Trump by any means, but his comments are correct.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Manufacturers had their weakest growth in two years in July, a sign that the economy could weaken this summer.

The Institute for Supply Management, a trade group of purchasing executives, said Monday that its index of manufacturing activity fell to 50.9 percent in July from 55.3 percent in June. The reading was the lowest since July 2009 — one month after the recession officially ended.

I would vote for Trump over obama but .....

The Wolf The Republicans Just Let In The Room

I hope you like higher taxes.

Much higher taxes.

Last night I couldn't figure out at first blush how Boehner/Reid managed to get their "numbers" to work. Well, when I looked at it again this morning, it snapped into focus, along with a backhanded comment and, yes, math.

Ok, ok, not really math. It was just a calendar.

See, the Bush Tax Cuts and the FICA holiday expire at or before the end of 2012. And guess who's going to be President then - either having just been re-elected or much worse, as a lame duck?

That's right - Obama.

Why are we ignoring simple, painless debt solution?

"The debt "debate" is all charade and theater for the unwashed masses. (That's US.) There never was a potential default because we have the world's currency and big printing presses to prove it. Now prepare for hyperinflation. . "

Mrs. Feinstein, referring to the tortuous legislative process, said: “Sausage making is not pretty. But the sausage we have, I think, is a very different sausage from when we started.”.

Feinstein is going to get a sausage alright, 10 feet long and 6" in diameter put where the sun don't shine and labeled "The People of The United States of America."

Get out while you still can, fools. We will help you. There is no cost. The gig is up. Save yourselves to fight another day.

Hello again Mr. Finnegan.
Good to see you on the DB again!

I'm not a huge fan of the HP news because I found them to turn cote on a few people including the President. Like him or not don't support a person then constantly blast them for your own reasons.

However on occasion I find some good stuff there. This article asks some reasonable questions. Hope you enjoy it.

Please pardon my soap box opinion here. However I feel it is sad that someone like Trump is unelectable really because he simply cannot get out of the way of his own ego.
