Oh, so now he cares about the national debt.  When he was busy last week extending TARP and re-directing funds to another failed stimulus, it wasn't on his mind.  He's reaching for straws to save health care reform from implosion; it won't work.  His word is burnt toast on matters of spending.  A $1.5 trillion first year deficit tends to be a credibility killer.

• "If we don't pass it, here's the guarantee:  Your premiums will go up, your employers are going to load up more costs on you.   If we don't do this, nobody argues with the fact that health care costs are going to consume the entire federal budget and the federal government will go bankrupt."

Our nation has been bankrupt for many years, our Government has merely been acting as administrators of the bankruptcy. I think he is saying that the trust will no longer be able to pay them for their "administrative services". They have done such a good job gutting out Amerika to our creditors, special trade deals, shipping jobs to our benefactor nations, etc., that they still feel they deserve a check from us.

Let their foreign masters take care of them, our backs are already breaking under the weight of their service to others.

They will not miss any checks, they will be well rewarded for their "service".

Yes, he was quite the colorful character, I remember the speech when he gave it. Ironically I couldn't find a video neither, the thought police must have been activated, but it is a matter of record. Not since McCarthy have we had any who would dare say the things that were meant not to be said to us. Both were railroaded, and in hindsight, both were right.
