That was great! I grew up in a very socialist household and it's been tough to discard the conditioning and look at it objectively. But 'd rather focus on what's good about both extemes rather than what's wrong with both extremes. If you could put those together you might just maybe have a workable system.

Agreed. And it also helps to focus on what both sides have in common. Sadly, both Dems and the GOP support wars and corporate interests above all else. There is no real alternative in the US.

It's not certain who coined the phrase "Divide et Impera" but that is what has happened to America. I could not believe my eyes when reading a popular "right-wing", "conservative" site last week.

The posters were actually being critical of a plane as "liberal". A plane. You know, one of those things that fly around in the air.

As long as we remain divided, there is never any consensus. Without consensus big Govt. and TBTF get whatever they want...

Meanwhile we argue amongst ourselves believing only what we see through our personal political lenses. It's non-sense.

I think it was Cheyenne who said
"The two parties in the US are Wall Street and Main Street"
but the facade of left vs right keeps getting shoved down our throats.

The Obama mis-Administration, taking down America one company at a time.

Gibson Guitar CEO: We're Under Attack By Obama AdministrationCEO says Obama Justice Dept. Wants Them to Close Their Doors.

The message: donate heavily to the DNC and/or unionize, or get raided and shut down!

my understanding is that Gibson's competitor, Martin, uses the same wood from East India - but they're big democrat donors. Why weren't they raided ?

My coment, Gibson and Peavey are the only 2 Co. that run non union Shops......Tex !

Just like the car lot shut down. Thoes that spent a lot of money on the DNC stayed open. Thoes that gave money to the GOP, were shut down. You pay the DNC, or you go......
