Carol Costello and Steve Malzberg are sparring lightly over Trump, and then BOOM! out of nowhere comes mention of the controversial Hillary Tapes. Costello is noticeably flustered and abruptly ends the segment before her national audience can hear the truth about the 'chosen one.'
As a former CNN employee, I can confirm that the Hillary Protection Program is real, and it's standard brainwashing procedure at CNN and virtually every other national media outlet. On the other hand, if these were incriminating Trump tapes, they would be played on continuous loop 24 hours per day until November.
The Hillary Tapes
Newly discovered audio recordings of Hillary Clinton from the early 1980s include the former first lady’s frank and detailed assessment of the most significant criminal case of her legal career: defending a man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl.
In 1975, the same year she married Bill, Hillary Clinton agreed to serve as the court-appointed attorney for Thomas Alfred Taylor, a 41-year-old accused of raping the child after luring her into a car.
The recordings, which date from 1983-1987 and have never before been reported, include Clinton’s suggestion that she knew Taylor was guilty at the time. She says she used a legal technicality to plead her client, who faced 30 years to life in prison, down to a lesser charge.

She reveals a lot more, too, which I've forgotten mostly. Normally that wouldn't have been a problem since C-SPAN would keep time-stamped rough transcripts of its shows and of congressional hearings. But in early 2015, C-SPAN not only halted this practice for videos going forward, but went back and replaced its excellent existing transcripts with excrement.
It's Mickey Mouse anti-transparency bush league bullshit like this that really pisses me off.

I agree with your premise about lying lawyers. However, this is about EXTREME hypocrisy on Hillary's part. Sexual assault and related issues are one of the pillars of Hillary's platform and campaign. She talks all the time about supporting/believing/protecting women in cases of sexual assault. She boasts about her incredible record of advocacy for women in general and sexual assault victims in particular, yet she has this monstrous case in her background.
It's not a good look for anyone, especially her.
That's a great interview with Sharyl Attkisson. She's one of the reporters I really like and respect. She goes after both sides with equal fervor. But, as you know, CBS and the White House didn't like her going after Obama on Fast & Furious and they made her life hell. Someone hacked her computer. She was being followed. CBS pushed her out the door.
The head of CBS News division is a political hack. It's a giant clusterfuck. The entire industry.

WASHINGTON – National Republican Party officials are questioning why Hillary Rodham Clinton did not intervene in the controversial 2013 sale of high-tech battery plants in Michigan to a Chinese firm when she was secretary of State and could have done so.
At a campaign stop in New Hampshire last month, Clinton, the leading Democratic candidate for president, expressed concerns about the sale of A123 Systems — built with millions in government aid — along with those of other new energy firms, to Chinese investors, calling them "unfortunate" and a "serious" problem for high-tech industries in the U.S.
"That does concern me because a lot of foreign companies, particularly Chinese companies ... are looking to buy American companies," she said in response to an entrepreneur who mentioned A123's sale while commenting that venture capital for new energy technology has largely fled overseas.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, in a statement to the Free Press, called Clinton's remarks "lip service" considering that as the former secretary of state, her department had a "role in signing off on these sales," including A123's to Wanxiang in early 2013.
