Hillary Clinton claims to have no memory of signing a State Department non-disclosure agreement for handling classified material, and instead relies on her favorite canned response about never sending or receiving government secrets. I would like to see what Edward Snowden could do to Clinton in a two-hour interview. They could sell the shit out of that on Pay Per View.

CLINTON SIGNED NDA LAYING OUT CRIMINAL PENALTIES

Clinton signed the NDA upon joining the State Department that renders her talking point moot. She wrote more than 100 emails on the server the government now says are classified. The Free Beacon reported in November on Clinton’s 2009 NDA signing that said there were criminal penalties for any unauthorized disclosure of classified material:

As the nation’s chief diplomat, Hillary Clinton was responsible for ascertaining whether information in her possession was classified and acknowledged that “negligent handling” of that information could jeopardize national security, according to a copy of an agreement she signed upon taking the job.

A day after assuming office as secretary of state, Clinton signed a Sensitive Compartmented Information Nondisclosure Agreement that laid out criminal penalties for “any unauthorized disclosure” of classified information.

Experts have guessed that Clinton signed such an agreement, but a copy of her specific contract, obtained by the Competitive Enterprise Institute through an open records request and shared with the Washington Free Beacon, reveals for the first time the exact language of the NDA.

“I have been advised that the unauthorized disclosure, unauthorized retention, or negligent handling of SCI by me could cause irreparable injury to the United States or be used to advantage by a foreign nation,” the agreement states.

It's very important to read the exact language of the acknowledgement that Hillary signed (the last paragraph of the above article), and put it beside her repeated statements that she did not send or receive any information marked secret.

Hillary Clinton has claimed from the very beginning of the email scandal that nothing she sent or received was marked classified at the time. As recently as Wednesday of this week, she told Fox News' Bret Baier, “Nothing that I sent or received was marked classified. And nothing has been demonstrated to contradict that. So it is the fact. It was the fact when I first said it. It is the fact that I’m saying it now.”

Unfortunately for Hillary, the State Department today (6/10/16) released an email from 2012 that totally contradicts her “fact.” According to Catherine Herridge at Fox News, the email carries “a classified code known as a ‘portion marking’ - and that marking was on the email when it was sent directly to Clinton’s account” -- NOT retroactively, as the Clinton camp likes to claim. The “C” - which means it was marked classified at the confidential level - is in the left-hand-margin and relates to an April 2012 phone call with Malawi's first female president, Joyce Banda, who took power after the death of President Mutharika in 2012. “(C) Purpose of Call: to offer condolences on the passing of President Mukharika and congratulate President Banda on her recent swearing in.”

Everything after that was fully redacted before it was publicly released by the State Department -- a sign that the information was classified AT THE TIME; and it dealt with sensitive government deliberations. -- Article by Deborah Heine, 6/10/16.
