The First World War will officially end on Sunday, 92 years after the guns fell silent, when Germany pays off the last chunk of reparations imposed on it by the Allies.
Besides, BRITISH Petroleum and the Goobermint have stated the sea food is safe, just ignore those pesky waivers the Goobermint wants the fishermen to sign, we are already ramping up imported contaminated seafood from China to make up for the losses here.
Wow, Rick Sanchez is spot on, well, for the most part. For telling the truth on a radio show, he gets fired by the government run leftist controlled media. All he had to do was to say that the Beatles are bigger than Jesus.
So he called Jon Stewart is a bigot, a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own. To offend the controlled leftist media, he must have salted someone’s open wound. The statement is actually very ripe for a lot of debate. To some, it is as plain as the nose on Jon Stewart’s face. Jon Stewart works hard to appear like a laidback guy who has a little show that makes quirky observations about life. He means no harm. Come on, his delivery and charm is his shtick. “Who among us hasn't envied a cat's ability to ignore the cares of daily life and to relax completely? (quote by Karen Brademeyer)
Sanchez doesn’t back it up as well as he could have. First, Jon Stewart is a bigot because he is an angry liberal who constantly attacks what he doesn’t understand. Stewart has an elitist attitude where he considers himself smarter than “the other side” and the only way he can feel better about himself is to mock the people he thinks don’t measure up to him.
Rick hits the nail on the head when he says that they (the controlled media) should be able to look at and evaluate the other side. This is what got him fired not the bigot comment about Jon Stewart. It is not acceptable for the controlled media to put the spotlight on the left. It is what gives Obama a pass specifically regarding his qualifications and his associations. Jon Stewart has been worshipped by the controlled media and showcased as the quintessential liberal socialist. It is a bad time to pick on the left’s golden child. Jon Stewart has bashed Rick Sanchez endlessly but the left does not see that the same way, obviously. The left considers even the most demented criticism such as the attacks on Sarah Palin as just and noble. The left thinks that someone like Sarah Palin deserves to be ridiculed and, in fact, begs to be ridiculed by just being so apparently different.
The biggest attack is against by the controlled media is against religion and religious beliefs. For the controlled media, religious people are always stupid, uninformed, ignorant and silly. The controlled media must mock religion every chance it gets because religion competes with their liberal socialist agenda.
There is nothing new here, I tell DB (and his sidekick and devotees) that Jon Stewart is only funny to the people who share his warped mentality. He gets the uncomfortable laughs because he is appealing to the child inside of everyone. Children can be cruel and insensitive. It is not their fault, their brains are still developing and their sense of themselves has not fully formed. For some adults like Jon Stewart, he realizes that the child remains in the deep recesses of all of our minds and he appeals to that inner undeveloped naïve nook of our brains. He brings out our inner child would be the expression. It can be a good thing when done in a constructive way like a trip to Disney World or a childish but funny movie and it can be done the way Jon Stewart does it to appeal to that selfish self-centered child inside us all. It is the child that is behind the smirk on Obama’s face when he is talking about anything and everything that doesn’t make him the center of attention.
I feel sorry for Rick Sanchez, he let his guard down and didn’t remember that there is a double standard when it comes to sharp insensitive juvenile attacks. For example, the attack by David Letterman, the one that put him on the front page when he attacked Palin’s children. When the liberal socialist hit below the belt they are insightful and are pointing out the obvious. They are considered good natured jabs because the left things they are anchored in the truth, more often, their warped perception of the truth. For the right, similar remarks about others are mean-spirited, unfair, cruel, uncouth, ignorant and too blatant. At that point, the facts don’t matter. The facts are not relevant. The facts only get in the way. This is so clearly evident in the left’s insistence that Obama need not show that he is eligible to be President. He is too great of a man to be held to any mere mortal standards. He has transcended those standards. He need not be anything trivial or trite. He is being worshipped, he represents hope and change. He has become a mythical being. Well, as Rick Sanchez knows now and what is becoming more and more evident with regards to Obama, reality bites.
Boy, that just made me want to run out and vote for the pro choice, pro gay marriage, pro gun control, pro men in drag, Rudy, Judy, Judy, like you Gobie...
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I didn't vote for your personal obsession neither Gobie, your hero and him were both to liberal for me.
Nice post DB. I usually don't bother with your song-and-dance entries, but am glad I made an exception this evening.
I'd be interested to know what you think about the joint SEC-CFTC flash crash report, or JPM's and BAC's joint admissions re the disastrous mortgage foreclosure situation.
To me it seems things are coming to a head rather rapidly, certainly sooner than I expected. I wonder who's ready...
It's been covered Cheyenne, let me sum it up for you again. It was a 104 page report full of crap. Nancy Pelosi, Obama and the Democrats must blindly accept the report, no reading involved, and make it law so that we all can find out what's in it. If after you read the report, you think what they are telling you is what happened, Obamacare will pay to send you to a shrink.
I figured as much when Bart Chilton got on CNBC and repeatedly said he's "not a shill" for Wall Street in response to questions about the report.
The CME provides some details that undercut the claim that 75K e-mini SP futures nearly took out the Ponz on May 6:
--"The 75,000 contracts represented 1.3% of the total E-Mini volume of 5.7 million contracts on May 6 and less than 9% of the volume during the time period in which the orders were executed."
--"the hedge was completed in approximately twenty minutes, with more than half of the participant's volume executed as the market rallied – not as the market declined. Additionally, the aggregate size of this participant's orders was not known to other market participants. Additionally, the most precipitous period of market decline in the E-Mini S&P 500 futures on May 6 occurred during the 3½ minute period immediately preceding the market bottom that was established at 13:45:28. During that period, the participant hedging its portfolio represented less than 5% of the total volume of sales in the market."
Gobie, you know I vote, just not as liberally as you. I have never missed an election, but one election missed me when the great and good government decided not to count absentee ballots.
You know DB, I think Bilderberg has pulled the plug on Obama. It started when Orszag got back from the Spain and then dumped Obama and bashed Obama's tax policy.
Promotion...The bridegroom, 41, the former director of the Office of Management and Budget in Washington, is a distinguished visiting fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York and a contributing columnist for The New York Times. He left his White House post in July. He graduated summa cum laude from Princeton and received a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics, which he attended as a Marshall scholar.
Just look out for man eating chipmunks or attack geese on your safaris to the park to Oprah watch Gobie. You are the master of nonsense and all that WICCA type thinking.
Just look out for dog eating chimps or attack beavers on your travels to the city square to Katie Couric watch Gomp. You are the idiot of stupidity and all that YMCA type thinking.
See Gomp, now isn't it strange to read your own writing style.
I think for myself Gobie, therefore I do not require a leader. That is something you should try to get past, the view can only get better once you remove your nose from the herd animal in front of you's ass.
"The burden of proof rests solely on Barack Obama to demonstrate to the American people and to the U.S. armed forces that he commands, that he is lawfully serving in his current capacity as head of the executive branch of the federal government," the foundation said.
Lt. Col. Lakin disobeyed a direct order from his superior to make a political statement. Unless Congress or God changes the U.S. Army Chain of Command, he is guilty as charged. Birther denial of reality is not going to change that fact.
You are right Sagebrush, soldiers swear to defend the Constitution, not be protected by it. There are many layers of command behind that order, chain of command does not allow him to jump to the top. He will only be able to answer the charges at hand, not make his own charges.
I did not think Gobie would become a scholar of the UCMJ.
I like your many layers of command comment Gompers, you still don't get it. You keep telling me about Dubya’s invasion of Iraq. Dubya ordered the invasion of Iraq but Obama didn’t order the continuation of the war in Afghanistan? If your chain of command theory is correct, Bush didn’t do anything wrong in your opinion. So as long as there is a degree of separation, the orders never came from the top? Does that mean Rummy is off the hook too? Gomp (and Sage), I assume that you are intentionally being stupid. Well, at least I hope you are.
My opinion does not fall under UCMJ Gobie, and I never said Iraq was an illegal war. Just that I thought as Dubya's father did, that it was a mistake to create a exploitable power vacuum for Iran to attempt to fill and pull resources from Afghanistan when Osama was cut off only to have our "partners" let him walk away. Many Generals thought the same. You are right Gobie, someone is being very stupid.
("Gomp (and Sage), I assume that you are intentionally being stupid.")
Dubya, Cheney, and Rummy are guilty of starting a war against a sovereign nation with false, fabricated, and cherry picked evidence. History will decide if they did anything wrong or not.
That changes nothing for the military, If they are ordered into action they go into action or end up with a Court Marshal.
The only one being stupid and unreasonable here is you. Your birther obsession has obviously affected your common sense.
History? Why not the facts? I don't want history to decide whether Obama is a fraud, I want the facts to decide. Man, you can't get anything right. The problem is that Obama won't allow the facts to decide the Lt. Col. Lakin case. Now that I am back to square one with you, this debate is over.
ok...i'm finally getting around to reading this thread...several comments to make...
z...your jon stewart op-ed was racist...the nose comment and a few others...and here i thought you were a koshur black jew yourself...keep the racism off this site...
I'd be interested to know what you think about the joint SEC-CFTC flash crash report, or JPM's and BAC's joint admissions re the disastrous mortgage foreclosure situation.

cheyenne...i've only read a summary of the report...i've given my thoughts before...i don't think there was a single cause...market was already down 350...there was weird stuff going on in europe that day...the waddell & reed trader sold a bunch of e-minis at the wrong time...people panicked...phantom bids disappeared quickly...idiots entered MARKET orders but there were no bids anywhere near so they got sold out at ridiculous prices...the fall created more panic and more market-order selling...there was a giant whoosh...then buyers saw the very low-priced offers from limit-order sellers and started buying...prices came back up quickly...appl went from 240 to 200 and back to 235 in 20 minutes...just as an example...
as for the foreclosure fraud deal...i've published 2 or 3 stories so far...and have put dozens of links in comments about it...it's a huge story and has many possible ramifications obviously...i'm watching it develop day by day...
Just wanted to say how much I like this site's organization. The Comedy tab should be industry-standard. Thanks for all the work.

thanks cheyenne...the comedy and song tabs which go to sqworls where all the thumbnail inks reside...yes that is a nifty feature...unfortunately neither of the sqworls has been updated in 9 months...it's on my list...i ahve over 300 comedy clips now that i could put in there...it would be the web's most complete collection by far...it's on the list for weekend projects...
Excellent. Hollowed out manufacturing due to NAFTA, yet another violation of our rights. Add it to the list of gov’t violations of our right: They violate the 1st Amendment by fencing-in demonstrators at G-20, banning books like “America Deceived II” and trying to take-over the internet. They violate the 2nd Amendment by confiscating guns. They violate the 4th and 5th Amendment by wireless wiretapping. They violate the entire Constitution by starting undeclared wars. Impeach Obama (and sweep out the Congress, except Ron Paul). [Link of Banned Book]: http://www.iuniverse.com/Bookstore/BookDetail.aspx?BookId=SKU-000190526
Following diplomatic negotiations dating back to 1986 among the three nations, the leaders met in San Antonio, Texas, on December 17, 1992, to sign NAFTA. U.S. President George H. W. Bush, Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and Mexican President Carlos Salinas, each responsible for spearheading and promoting the agreement, ceremonially signed it. The agreement then needed to be ratified by each nation's legislative or parliamentary branch.
Before the negotiations were finalized, Bill Clinton came into office in the U.S. and Kim Campbell in Canada, and before the agreement became law, Jean Chrétien had taken office in Canada.
The agreement's supporters included 132 Republicans and 102 Democrats. NAFTA passed the Senate 61-38. Senate supporters were 34 Republicans and 27 Democrats.
Might want to really look at CAFTA, FTAA, GATT, and best of all, Most favored Nation status. The real deals, not the either party propaganda versions.
"They violate the 2nd Amendment by confiscating guns."
Where are they doing this at?
"They violate the 4th and 5th Amendment by wireless wiretapping."
Most people allow this willingly, you need no warrant for cell phones or those wireless phones in everybodies homes these days. Radio waves are FREE PICKINGS.
"They violate the entire Constitution by starting undeclared wars."
For the United States, Article One, Section Eight of the Constitution says "Congress shall have power to ... declare War". However, that passage provides no specific format for what form legislation must have in order to be considered a "Declaration of War" nor does the Constitution itself use this term.
