BUSTED: Dylan Ratigan On The Lying Scoundrels At Bank Of America (That Means You Ken Lewis)
Video: BofA hid leverage amd debt levels a la Lehman Repo 105 fame -- July 2010
It's a short clip, not unlike the SEC's penis.
Bank of America, admitted to hiding billions of dollars in debt, in order to meet end of quarter financial targets from 2007-2009. So Ken Lewis was in charge while the bamboozlement took place. Problem is the SEC always goes soft on criminal bankers.
Case in point, when Citigroup lied about $40 billion of subprime exposure, Schapiro and the gang that couldn't shoot straight thought $75 million was fitting punishment, and just $100k for Gary Crittenden, Citigoup's CLO (chief lying officer...).
Thankfully, Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle ruled yesterday that the SEC-Citigroup settlement was bogus and gave both sides the jurisprudent stink-eye and fat middle finger for wasting her time.

But I do know that the SEC recently settled with Dell for having lied about their accoutning for years...and the settlement was tiny...i still have some hope that folks at lehman will get charged...they were biggar liars than anyone in terms of quarterly accounting...
So I hope he is allowed to continue talking and laughing but I don't know how long he (and we) will be able to laugh about these things.
Massive fraud and theft are serious business, aren't they?
I get the feeling that Ratigan is really laughing at his corporate bosses for being forced to allow him to report this unbelievable stuff.
His bosses believe in the First Amendment and their principles wont allow them to silence him.
But he's killing them every day with a thousand cuts and that's both funny and tragic.
As for as NBC brass...he left cnbc for the expressed purpose of doing a show to expose the corruption...so msnbc producers knew exactly what they were getting with dylan...i know one of his producers and trust me they LOVE dylan...he is the most popular anchor they have with management...or so i am told...he hates politics with a passion and believes it is what has destroyed our country...he wants solutions and doesn't care from which side of the political spectrum they come...
Ratigan's program is clearly a sign that all the health has not gone out of our system: Ratigan's brand of steam letting is necessary to prevent or at least diminish political explosions.
However, I was thinking of the role of Beaumarchais before the French and American Revolutions when I wrote that comment. Wiki gives an adequate summary: http://www.ask.com/wiki/Pierre_Beaumarchais
I wonder if we are living in a similar period?
