BUSTED: Another Black Eye For Iowa AG Tom Miller: Cold Called Bank Of America Lawyers Asking For Contributions

Reposting this story in light of the following bombshell from Gretchen Morgenson:

NY Attorney General Facing Intense Pressure From Obama Administration On Bank Foreclosure Fraud Deal: "Wall Street Is Our Main Street And We Have To Make Sure We Are Doing Everything We Can To SUPPORT Them"

---

Matt Taibbi reported a couple of weeks ago that Iowa Attorney General, Tom Miller, "has raised $261,445 from finance, insurance and real estate contributors since he announced that he was going to be coordinating the investigation into improper foreclosure practices."

Now, it comes to light that Miller made cold calls to the very law firms representing the nation's largest banks to ask for campaign contributions.

TIME reports:

Miller says he does not believe his fundraising efforts among lawyers representing potential targets of his investigations give the impression of impropriety. Nor does he believe that negotiating with the lawyer who gave him $5,000, Meyer Koplow of New York’s Wachtell Lipton, now representing Bank of America, presents a conflict of interest. “All of this is just so much of a stretch,” Miller says.

That Miller sees no impropriety in all this is precisely the problem.  As George Carlin has said, "It's a big club...and you ain't in it."

the question is whether anyone is paying attention and cares...you would think the other AGs would make a fuss about this and try to remove him from leading the discussions...so their silence tells me most of the state AGs are doing exactly the same thing as miller...

good point. not that there's any impropriety involved, of course.

You knowwhat? Everyone will get away with everything. The banks are already offering a $5,000,000,000 bribe to get this put into the memory hole. The one's getting the offer will take it. Then they'll take more campaign donations, and screw all us little people again in a few years. No one will go to jail for the crimes that have been commited. No one. The only thing these people will ever understand comes from the end of a rope or the barrel of a gun. You think they'd hesitate using force to get us in line? Why would we hesitate to use it against them?

Miller vowed to prosecute and jail execs at the biggest banks late last year. He then actively solicited money from the biggest banks before unilaterally withdrawing prosecutions from the settlement agreement with the banks.

Tom Miller would have you believe the withdrawal occurred apropos of nothing. That's patently ridiculous, of course, and reflects the utter disrespect government officials have for their constituents, as well as the total failure by the fourth estate to put anything resembling a tough question to bankster whores like Miller.

FDIC’s Bair: Millions of Foreclosures Could Be ‘Infected’.

http://blogs.wsj.com/developments/2011/05/12/fdics-bair-millions-of-foreclosures-could-be-infected/

[snip]

But Ms. Bair, who is departing her position in July, argued that other regulators likely missed homeowners who should have been provided loan assistance but who were improperly denied such help. The FDIC, she said, has found a “not insignificant” number of such cases. “There needs to be much more aggressive action,” she told lawmakers.

Under consent orders that 14 banks and thrifts reached with regulators in March, financial institutions are required to hire a consultant to review their foreclosures over the past two years to identify any borrowers who were harmed by foreclosure-processing problems.

Ms. Bair, however, questioned whether those reviews will truly be independent. Such consultants “may have other business with [banks] or future business they would like to do with them,” Ms. Bair said. “This is a huge issue.”

If he isn't convicted then he ought to be tarred and feathered.

This article is a great thing because it puts into a 'pop culture' frame of reference a very serious problem of the descending into the black stinking ocean of degradation and blind self indulgence that white collar crime has become since deregulation. Of course Bush would push for NAFTA. Of course Bush would push for deregulation of banking practices. Of course Bush would push for deregulation of Wall Street and offshore banking. He is the top ranking member of an 'investment' group that requires this deregulation to ply their trade. And they have been waving their flag in your faces for 400 years in covert loyalty to the English crown. Lesser pirates have boarded America through a corporate flagged vessel and are poisoning, irradiating, and ripping off America while you people just stand there with one finger on the remote and the other finger in your nose. Too many computer geeks are still typing with one hand.

They took over with the assassination of JFK and used the CFR and things for America have gone down hill from there. Wake the fuck up . Do you all really intend to ignore the destruction of the U.S. and a return to social and financial and spiritual domination by the genetic slag of Europe because you were too stinking lazy to get up and turn off the TV? Sure looks like it to me. You want your kids shipped off to military school so they can perform fetishes on the NWO=OWO in uniform? Don't stop at investigating the Franklin cover-up. This sickness goes clear to the top. Keep it up slugs. You are getting there faster than you know. Ya'll can't even get a pol like Tom Miller to stand at attention.

No. I don't. I'm not even sure what you're driving at, HTL3. I'm an American who watches essentially 0 TV, it upsets me so. The only way to get back at these cocksuckers is to take a real personal poke at their glass chins.

Do that, I figure, and at least I can look in the mirror Friday-Night-style and say I couldn't have done a single thing more to fuyck these sociopaths.

And now that I'm running out of jack, I'm more certain than ever that that's the right way to go. You can't ever lose fucking cowards.

Quid pro quo: Something for something.

Quid: I'm gonna send yer asses to jail.
pro
Quo: Unless you give me money.

And Miller's only defense is that it's a stretch?

The attorneys general have perpetrated a fraud on all 50 states. Miller appointed a commission of 16, six of whom were elected to other offices, one of which was Beau Biden, and three of whom were bank regulators, i.e., part of the problem, whose names I haven't tracked down. There so-called investigation was to be a non-public whitewash in the first place, but even that wasn't enough.

I totally missed it, being focused on Fukushima, but along comes a FEDERAL co-conspiracy that intervenes. Who ran that one? The comptroller of the currency (the folks who took predatory lending investigations away from the states), the not-Federal Reserve, and the ever-incompetent (?) Office of Thrift and AIG Supervision.

As hard as this is to believe, It appears that the state governments in the United States are even more corrupt then the Federal Government.
I wonder if the sheeple are ever going to wake up and flush these crooked bastards down the toilet where they belong.

So, when is the revolution starting or is it too late?

The S.E.C. operates with the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) running corporate owned media interference. They made sure all the local Dallas, Texas newspapers could not communicate the photos of bullet holes in the limo JFK was riding in and photos of chips in concrete in two places from errant shots. The CFR is still at it, building up the murders of a couple-few Pakistani citizens and calling one of them Osama bin Laden. This is as depraved as alley trash can get. I saw an undoctored photo of the guy they call bin Laden. He looked like bin Laden did when he was 35 years old. The dimensions of his face were wrong and this guy was not on a dialysis machine nor even suffering from a kidney ailment. Osama died of kidney disease or other chronic disease 10 years ago.
The CFR's ability to control news dates back to about 1913 when the CFR was formed by John D. Rockefeller, J.P. Morgan, and Paul Warburg as an agent for the Rothschild bank to buy up the 25 most influencial newspapers in the U.S.A. to control editorial pages and therefore shape the minds of America to their own liking. Then they started buying up all the TV stations so that now in many neighborhoods, over 7,000 hours of free TV is broadcast each year and not 5 minutes of it is a university lecture. Nothing but pap. Now that SCOTUS mandates that news stations are not legally obligated to tell the truth, even NPR is nothing but chimps throwing poop to the tunes of Mozart and Bach and the riotous glee of Garrison Keeler and The Home Prairie Companion.
The pirates are running the ship and intend to "reduce it to the size that it can be drowned in a bathtub". The same group did 9-11, blew out the DH Maconda oil well in the GOM, and situated the Fukushima reactor array on the beach in northern Japan and waited for the big one, which took forty years to show up and cause the super-critical melt-down of 40 years of spent fuel rods into 'Corium'. The bloody idiots should be put down, they like death and skulls and shit so much.

If you talk of the Skull and Bones crowd, and their history, you will soon lose your corporate media job. So the masses will not witness their life savings and investments being ripped off by these pigs. The fix is in. That does not mean we as Americans are bound by their criminality. If they break the law and the SEC or other law enforcement agencies do not react, we may and must and can react and God help the fool who stands in the way because anyone interfering in the apprehension of a criminal in this country is guilty by association. And our government is top-heavy with criminals who DARE us to try to stop them. The top law enforcement agencies won't react to crooks like Miller and only local actions will happen because ethical agents are far more numerous than the crooks at the top. The top are loyal to the U.N. and the English crown and the racists and crackers society and facilitate the looting the treasuries of the U.S. and invaded countries and transfers of this perf into British Protectorate off-shore accounts. Which, by her lizardship, are "out of bounds" of the bank inspectors and official investigators of England and the U.S.. This Tom Miller fellow may be counting on filling a sack or two with loot then heading to Grand Caiman to build or buy a retirement home like Schumer or other trash. Show him the error in his ways. Or get run over by a tank.

I called Miller's office about a month ago. The nice lady on the phone was very pleasant and assured me that Miller is as pure as the driven snow.

"He won't even let anyone buy him lunch."
