Gonzales is a fucking liar, just like Holder.

Did yall see this bullshit?

[Fox Reporter James] Rosen allegedly spoke to Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, a State Department contractor, for a story about North Korea's nuclear program. The Justice Department charged Kim with violating the Espionage Act for his contact with Rosen.

Perhaps more chilling, the Post reported that the Justice Department labeled Rosen a "co-conspirator" with Kim because he made an arrangement with him about how to get him information.

Fucking traitorous sunzabitches. I think even the O-bots will have to feign outrage on this one.

The DOJ went straight past labeling and actually subpoenaed Rosen's email. Brrrrr...

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/29/world/obamas-leadership-in-war-on-al-qaeda.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

"In interviews with The New York Times, three dozen of his current and former advisers described Mr. Obama’s evolution since taking on the role, without precedent in presidential history, of personally overseeing the shadow war with Al Qaeda. "

I'll hold my breath for the indictments.

And now, a year later, the evolution of Obama's shadow war with al-Qaeda has reached the point of... arming al-Qaeda.

So Obama's little war here, both against and for al-Qaeda, includes a pan-enemy. So no matter what is said about al-Qaeda, the reporter is aiding the enemy, and thus Obama can justify whatever 1st amendment violations he wants to. Cute. Dictatorial, yes, but cute.

That's an amazing read from Hedges. I don't work in foreign policy, but indeed most academics (these days) are natural born conformists. From my experience, many Irish and some British intellectuals take their vocation seriously, but not so much for those hailing from the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Wasn't there once a guy named Scooter who leaked info to a reporter named Judith? That story also includes people with names like Novak and Armitage. I know it's not the same as the current leak and investigation setup. But leaks did happen and so did prosecutions. I wonder what would have happened if Miller and Novak had had their phone records subpoenaed.

Also I found it interesting that on Cheyennes slide show that there is a shot of a person who is obviously inside their home photographing the goings on in the street and there is a constable inside a humvee pointing what appears to be a rifle at said photographer. Just amazing.
