'It Was Easy And I Was Not Alone, There Were At Least 10 Others'

This is a huge overnight story. Matt Drudge is running it as his large center headline. Romanian hacker Marcel Lehel Lazar, better known as Guccifer, claims he compromised Hillary Clinton's email server. In a jailhouse interview with Fox's Catherine Herridge, Guccifer says he broke in on two occasions and saw ten foreign IP addresses (other hackers) inside the server.

The details are really pretty amazing and you should read the full story, but one particular part stuck out  -- the horrified reaction from the Clinton camp. This reads nothing like their typical denial. They are in panic mode, using words like unfathomable and mention of the prison cell.

The Clinton campaign issued a statement Wednesday night saying, "There is absolutely no basis to believe the claims made by this criminal from his prison cell. In addition to the fact he offers no proof to support his claims, his descriptions of Secretary Clinton's server are inaccurate. It is unfathomable that he would have gained access to her emails and not leaked them the way he did to his other victims."

OK, NBC is now on this. Interview with the hacker coming. However, they're careful to stipulate that he has no documentation of his access to Clinton's server. Still, it WILL be Trump fodder.

Recently extradited, Lazar faces trial Sept. 12 in the Eastern District of Virginia. He has pleaded not guilty to a nine-count federal indictment for his alleged hacking crimes in the U.S. Victims are not named in the indictment but reportedly include Colin Powell, a member of the Bush family and others including Blumenthal.

Conclusion:

"What will come of this?

Will the FBI recommend that Clinton be indicted? I can’t say, since I can't know the minds of the key people making the decisions. But I believe that anyone who studies these timelines will conclude as I have that there is plenty of evidence that the FBI should recommend her indictment if they are doing their jobs. One doesn't have to be a legal scholar or even know the specific laws to see that there is a pattern of gross negligence of classified information, at the very least.

Regardless of what the FBI does, there's no doubt the Republicans will push this scandal as much as they can. If Clinton faces Trump in the general election, you can be sure Trump will frequently highlight the scandal. He's already calling her "Crooked Hillary." If Clinton wins the presidency, Republicans may immediately start impeachment proceedings over the scandal. If she loses and a Republican wins, then the Republicans, because their hatred for the Clintons runs so deep, are bound to push legal cases against her anyway. She may seem to be cruising to political victory right now, but a reckoning is coming due to this scandal, one way or another.

Whether you're Democrat, Republican, or other, you cannot and should not simply wish all this evidence away due to her success in the presidential primaries. This is a real scandal, and it's only going to get worse as more information slowly comes out."

He says the FBI is focusing on the 30,000 deleted emails as they assume those emails contain all the bribes and quid pro quo involved with the Clinton foundation. What difference does it make, you ask?

Well, this becomes problematic for Mrs. Clinton in the sense that the Code of Federal Regulations (5 CFR 2635.702) states the following:

An employee shall not use his public office for his own private gain, for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity, including nonprofit organizations of which the employee is an officer or member, and persons with whom the employee has or seeks employment or business relations.

5 CFR 2635.702(c) states:
Endorsements. An employee shall not use or permit the use of his Government position or title or any authority associated with his public office to endorse any product, service or enterprise except:
(1) In furtherance of statutory authority to promote products, services or enterprises; or
(2) As a result of documentation of compliance with agency requirements or standards or as the result of recognition for achievement given under an agency program of recognition for accomplishment in support of the agency's mission.

Why was this guy arrested? How did he use the information?
The reporter is so arrogant by saying "little country boy from Romania..." These are highly skilled brilliant people all over the world and for them anything is easy. If the guy guesses right the answer--means that guy who created his account is complete idiot and should be kicked off his position. He was arrested for hacking and then publishing emails from Sidney Blumenthal and Colin Powell also I believe. In fact, it was his hack of Blumenthal that led to the discoverey of Hillary's server. No one knew up until that point.
