Some of you may have seen this, but here's an interview with a Vanity Fair writer who was doing a story on Hank Paulson as the financial crisis came to a head back in September of last year. According to the writer, Paulson admitted to him -- a full ten days before he got around to telling Congress -- that he didn't plan to buy "toxic assets" and would inject capital instead. Did he testify under oath in the meantime, saying the opposite? I wonder, because that's perjury. (WARNING: Includes Dennis Kneale, bailout socialism, and gratuitous boot-licking) Hat tip Karl Denninger.
