He has an amazing power in his voice, and it looks like he can command any army into battle. But is he knowledgeable politically? He said "we got tricked in 2008" but we also got tricked in 2004, in 2000, in 1996, and so on. Is he just another tea-party republican type who is stuck in the left-right paradigm, or is he a true patriot?

I hope he makes more appearances, but I definitely have to learn more about him before I can be fully enthusiastic. But he has guts, and an incredible speaking ability, so I have to give him that.

He is very impressive, that's fore sure. But he still has to prove himself. Giving powerful speeches was Obama's meal ticket to Washington, and he never stuck by his word once taking office. So I hope this guy is for real. He definitely has the zest for liberty..and its thrilling to watch him speak

He still believes that Al Qaeda and "Islamic terrorism" was responsible for 9/11, and said that the Islamic enemy has infiltrated the military after the Fort Hood tragedy, ...so I don't know about this guy, he talks about liberty and freedom..but is he really for it? He is not politically awake yet. I don't want to pass judgment yet, but from the looks of it, he seems like another disillusioned republican type, albeit a very forceful and honest one.

Well, he doesn't say "Iraq" or "Afghanistan," but he's clearly no neo-con. Is there some Ron Paul lurking behind the Andrew Jackson talk?:

"We must get away from occupation warfare and nation building and execute precision strike operations aimed at denying the terrorist enemy sanctuary. We must cut off their funding, manpower, and logistical support from their state sponsors. And that means finding their financial resources and freezing them. We must win the information war and defeat this enemy on the websites which proliferate hate against the US and western civilization."

Funny, how people wonder if he is smart enough... Bush had a degree from Yale and this guys' first sentence was more intelligent than anything Bush has said over the span of his life. He has proved himself, those are the birds on his collar. OBama didn't have to prove himself nor did Dianne Feinstein prove herself. I don't think many in Congress have ever done anything.

He is absolutely right that all the bailouts, welfare, socialism and rip off programs steal from those that work and give to those that don't.

One of the reasons I don't blog much anymore is because of clowns like Truth Excavator. As part of this man's duties as a high ranking military official, he gets briefings from US and World intelligence units. The briefings are real. Islamist fundamentalists are brutal. They murder and rape children around the world...Turkey, Pakistan, Russia, Israel. They have vowed to come here. They are here, they walk amongst us, they are in our military. They will attack our children, they will rape and murder our most vulnerable people. It is a fact. There is a reason Obama was all for pulling the troops out, before he was President. Obama realized about 15 minutes into his first briefing that their is a real enemy. In fact, Obama is escalating the war. He is privvy to information you are not. It is not secret information, it is in the open, but the main stream media will not show it to you. For instance, during the PBS show about the attack on the Russian school by Islamist Fundamentalist, PBS made the decision not to show the world what really happened. They left out the multiple rapes and the brutality of the take over. Many of the girls that survived had to have surgery to repair their uterus. The enemy used their rifles to jam into little girls. They murdered the men in front of their families and murdered the boys in front of their mothers and sisters. Do you understand? This is the enemy. It does exist. We will be attacked. You can sit back and let the enemy attack or you can prepare and defend yourself.

You're the clown, Benny..

a fool is what you are.

The enemy is not in Afghanistan. The enemy is the military-industrial-financial-security complex. The enemy is the US government conspiracy that orchestrated the 9/11 attacks on its own citizens. America went into Iran and took out their elected prime minster in 1953. America has had its ships and soldiers on Saudi Arabian land. America invaded Iraq. The enemy to civilization is the people who control America, not some Muslim who hates Western imperialism. Islamic fundamentalism is a by product of American intrusion into Middle Eastern affairs. If you want the threat to go down, then simply leave. And remember, they didn't attack the West, the West struck first...and America's 9/11 was a self-inflicted wound. If you're not man enough to believe that evil doers control the American government, then I have no hope for you.

and How would you like it if another country invaded America?

This Lt. Col West is definitely an intelligent man, and I'd want him beside me in battle, but he is sadly another foot soldier in the manufactured Terror War. He is caught in a false prism, like a lot of good Americans.

And this man is definitely not influenced by Dr. Paul. Dr. Paul understands that America helped create this conflict by intervening into Middle Eastern affairs. Col. West doesn't believe it, he honestly believes the official story of 9/11.

And again, he is a good soldier, and a strong leader, but he is fighting the wrong enemy.

In the speech below he makes some good points about winning the War on Terror, and they would apply, if not for the fact that the war on terror is a phony war. But this cold fact is unknown to Col West, that America's fighting forces overseas do not serve national security, that they are being played like fools, and that the war on terror only makes a few men richer, and that contribute to the destruction of America and the Middle East if it is dragged on.

He's not right about how the American Republic was founded. At least half of all Americans in 1776 were loyalists (to Britain) and only about 10% were solidly behind the Revolution. George Washington was the wealthiest man in America and the real desire behind the Revolution was to get the Royal, privileged, rich British aristocrats out of America so that the American born wealthy, landed aristocrats could have their way, which is what they got after their victory. Let's not rewrite history yet one more time. These wealthy American landed aristocrats and slave holders won the freedom to take almost everything in America and, after the Civil War, they formed the Corporate State which has allowed them to control almost 40% of all the wealth (houses, cars, boats, stocks, bonds ...) The bottom 1% owns only 1% of all the stuff in America. http://current.com/items/91003543_wealth-distribution-in-america.htm
Freedom? Don't make me laugh. Try equality, and I'm not talking gender or race.

That is, the bottom 40% of Americans own only about 1% of all the stuff. But you all know that already, you just need to be reminded.

Benny,

Ron Paul's arguments for the Afghanistan war and Lt. Col West's arguments for the war are not the same, and that was the point I was making. Col. West has not been influenced by Dr. Paul, or probably has never read about non-interventionism. He is full committed to the idea that Muslims are attacking us because of our freedoms and our way of life, which is not true..as Dr. Paul pointed out to Rudy Giuliani in the debate. They hate the West because the West has been interfering in its affairs for the greater part of the 20th century.

I can't argue with you if you can't read. Or if you read into things.

So who is the truly insane one?

That would be you, if you haven't already figured it out by now.
Dec 12, 2009 at 11:57 AM | Unregistered CommenterTruth Excavator
Truth Evader,
The more you write, the more you expose your ignorance.

Muslims are NOT attacking us. Islamist fundamentalists hate us, but they also hate other Muslims. These Islamist fundamentalists have been attacking MUSLIMS in Muslim dominated nations for years. They take over schools where Muslim girls are getting an education and brutally rape and murder them. Why? Did these girls do something to them?

Why don't you ask Dr. Paul if Muslims hate America. Muslims don't hate America any more than any other religious group.

Please, Please, Please stop making comments about foreign affairs, you have NO idea what you are talking about.

What? ANybody can see the Congress is hopelessly corrupt, it's become so putrid and stinking, that it's a blackened corpse, dissolving 9 no insult to human bodies). This putridness began in 1913 when they died to Corporation control, continueld under FDR, and finalized, when Congress OFFICIALLY handed it's power ON A SILVER PLATTER to Bush Two. That's when the death warrant was shown to its Employer, WE, THE PEOPLE.

Congress now exists as a rotting Zombie.

So, WHO would want to even touch this Body? Much less get near enough to smell the stink?

The saying is true, "anyone who wants to become a politician, is already corrupt."

Benny,

I know Muslims are not attacking America. But the republican moron base do...at least they did after 9/11 when innocent Muslims were put in jail.

And killing in Iraq and Afghanistan is indiscriminate. If you think soldiers only kill Islamic fundamentalists then you're a fool. Over there, everybody is the same for the troops. So you can't have a war on Islamic extremism without also appearing as if you are engaging in a war on Islam - that's why the Muslim world doesn't like Western troops in their countries. The best way to stem the influence of Theocrats is to get out of their land, that way they won't be able to tell villagers "hey look they're invading us, so you have to support us or you'll die."

If you truly want the Muslim world to be free of theocracy, then you have to support Western withdrawal. You can't have a crusade. The moderates will eventually stand up for themselves against the extremists who don't want women liberation, but only when foreign troops leave their land. Remember, it was America who first stopped democracy in the Middle East in 1953. And it was America who helped fund this 'Islamic extremism' in the 1980s....so it has done enough damage. It should just leave. As Dr. Paul just said in Congress.
Dec 13, 2009 at 2:20 PM | Unregistered CommenterTruth Excavator
Theocracy? What are you talking about? The countries of the Middle East are dictatorships and monarchies (run like dictatorships for the most part), not theocracies.

Truth says…The moderates will eventually stand up for themselves against the extremists who don't want women liberation, but only when foreign troops leave their land.

Um, how many more thousands of years do we have to wait for these so called moderates?

1953, oh, I thought it was 1947 when the first true democracy was established in the Middle East by the great Americans. Hmmmm, I smell a Anti-Zionist and it smells nasty like a camel.

My balls are already hanging very low as the result of all the "amazing speeches" I got to hear from Brack Hussein Osama. As far as I'm concerned from now until my dying day if I see an American politician's lips moving ..it will only serve to indicate that they're LYING.

If Lt Col. Allen West wants to cure me of my skepticism (good luck) he'll need to organize a bloody coup that includes lots of hangings and firing squads. NOTHING short of that will do.

Uhh, unfortunately the Chinese already took all the good silverware. That 'silver platter' to Bush you reference was actually made of 75% zinc, 24.9% tin and .01% aluminum.

This guy pulls no punches.

I am not so happy that he admits (more accurate to say infers, when he says: "we were tricked") to voting for B.O.. That speaks volumes about his judgment... too bad.

I would also like to add; that the ones that did vote for B.O. - Biden will be the most bitter. They are the ones that truly trusted and believed in BO, only to see him betray that trust and turn promises into lies.

ALOT or ALITTLE?
Dec 13, 2009 at 4:45 PM | Unregistered CommenterGobiasBestFriend
GobiasBestFriend,

Iran is a theocracy, I'm shocked you didn't know that, and it happened because a democratically elected leader in 1953, a moderate, was taken out by the British and the CIA, thus giving weight to the Islamic mullahs to take over that country.

You didn't have to wait for thousands of years for these moderates to take the democratic route. They did in 1953, and America stopped it. If you want to deny history, go ahead. But facts are facts

And I don't like Zionism or any other political ideology that views other people as inferior.

Truth, who was overthrown in 1953? You should be directing your anger at Jimmy Carter, then I could support you. Who cares about Iran anyway. I think McCain got it right concerning Iran.

And what about now in Iran, is a regime run by a President and a Supreme Leader using the military (Revolutionary Guard Corp) a theocracy? You should work for the CFR.

How about calling it a military dictatorship? Hmmm, think it over.
Dec 13, 2009 at 8:14 PM | Unregistered CommenterGobiasBestFriend
Mohammed Mosaddeq, a democratically elected leader, was overthrown in 1953, thanks to the handiwork of the CIA. Stephen Kinzer has a good book on it, called "All the Shah's Men." http://www.amazon.ca/All-Shahs-Men-American-Middle/dp/0471265179

And regardless of the State's repression in Iran, it is STILL a theocracy.

You are obviously a moron, so I'm going to stop correcting you.

Yes Nicolae. The whole blame-the-Jews thing was tried & tested already and doesn't work. You liberal progressive lap dogs make me want to vomit. Number one, a man who VOLUNTEERS to protect your cry-baby ass deserves all of the respect you can muster, simply because he did it. Secondly, once you realize that the heart of the Islamic terrorist organization is the Iranian government, you will understand why it comes back to Iran. Third, if you think our troops are over in Iraq and Afghanistan murdering "innocent" civilians, look up the records for what happened to SEAL team 10 in Afghanistan. The rules of engagement for this fiasco require our troops to place themselves in an inordinate amount of personal danger to guarantee that individuals are not "civilians". There is no such thing as a "just war". Fourth and finally, this country was founded on individual freedom and the opportunity that affords. The primary purpose of the government is to protect the individual from having his rights (as determined in the first ten amendments) violated by other individuals or the government. The founding documents refer to equal opportunity, not any garbage about equal results, just equal opportunity. Lt. Col. Allen West is one of the only individuals that I have seen running for public office that has the stones to stand up and call bullshit on the existing system. Yes, I am a "tea-partier" and I am proud to refer to myself as a small "r" republican (for those of you that live in the world of platitudes and dogmas, that means that this country was founded as a republic, not a democracy).

To virtually all the previous posts;

What?

Truth Evader, or whatever your name is, Gobias, and Nicolae, how did this string result in this? (Nicholae, wow, you need a reboot. Turn it off, let it rest for ten minutes, or maybe ten years and then hit the restart button.)

The point is simply this; how do you get started? What does "bayonet" mean? Not as a metaphor, but in real terms? So many people ask the same thing, "how do I get involved in a real way that will make a difference?"

Consensus is not the goal, serious discussion and debate and then a call to action is what is needed. It is never too late. I don't buy that crap, this has been going on forever. It is not yet too late, we can make a difference. But we need a vehicle beyond simply posting blogs on a site largely reserved for (mostly) like minded people. (With Nicolae being an obvious exception.)

If you think West is a leader, or are at least willing to look further, great. But let's move this conversation to something more tangible, like how to make an impact.
Dec 21, 2009 at 10:16 PM | Unregistered CommenterOberon4life
One more thing.

Dr. Paul, is a wonderful, principled man. But he's not a God. Maybe some sort of fiscal prophet, but not a God.

In fact, he's marginalized himself to the point that while he can still make a legitimate difference, he can never be a leader of a major movement. He can be a valuable tool in the creation and execution of a plan, but he will have to stay a role player.

If not West, fine, but then someone needs to step up. It's time.

Agreed....the problem is implementation and getting others to join the effort...some of the ideas kicked around here have been excellent but it takes BIG RESOURCES to get the word out to the sheeple...

1) James suggested once a "pull your money out of TARP banks" concept...i like this idea and think a decent number of people would respond to it, but the problem is getting it organized and spreading the word...

2) a day of national strike....larry flynt wrote a column proposing it on Huffington Post and then NOTHING....we contacted his people and let them know we were ready to help and never received much more than a cursory response...

there have been other ideas but they all would require massive coordination on the part of many different bloggers to implement with any degree of success....

Understood. But, let's not worry about something so big. The beauty of this type of site is that like-minded people have a forum for discussion and debate.

But what comes next? It has to be smaller. Getting involved at a local level, by the thousands and then working our way through the system. It is time to rip the cocoons of those bloated fat-cats apart. They will fear us if we take this to the next level. We need to examine every district and put people into the places they can make a difference. There is a reason that public hearings are never widely promoted or announced. It is time to go after this thing.

You mentioned in a previous blog that I should be running for congress, as you know my district. Lets get serious about this. None of has to go that far, (but maybe we should.) But involvement doesn't have to be all or nothing. Let's spend some serious time with the Ron Paul staff's of the world and lay out a blueprint. It can be done.
