Alan Grayson Asks Fed General Counsel Scott Alvarez: "Has The Federal Reserve Ever Tried To Manipulate The U.S. Stock Market?" (MUST SEE)

Prosecutor meets punk.  Flashback...

Grayson v. Alvarez - Audit the Fed Congressional Hearings

Stop.  Seriously.  Watch this now.

"I would like to know whether it is within the Federal Reserve's legal authority to try to manipulate the stock market or the futures market."

By far the most entertaining and cogent portion from today's hearing on Ron Paul's HR 1207, as Alan Grayson questions Fed general counsel Scott Alvarez.  Turn up the volume because the questioning starts immediately.

It is the financial class of hucksters and swindlers, the management bullies who must control everything, and the political class who harbor the envious, the liars, and the insecure who are the bane of a society.

The argument has been wrong from the beginning. We could have a nearly uptopian society if we simply killed the elites of politicans, big business CEOs, and bankers. These people are not the gifted, but rather the grifters.

If we simply allowed that any crime by a politican, banker, or business executive incurred an automatic and immediate death penalty we would within 50 years have a utopia of plenty, prosperity and peace. Instead we let the evil ones arbitrate for us the huge mess they themselves have made of the world.

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."

I think this is new, but here's a really interesting conversation between Michael Moore and Dylan Ratigan about the film "Capitalism: A Love Story." Two more strange bedfellows. This is a total lovefest, but it was really cool to see Michael Moore think to himself "Holy crap, this guy has real anger, real rage, about this stuff -- and he's more radical than I am." Whatever you think of Moore, this is a really cool clip.

Fed scraming like cockroaches due to "Audit the Fed" HR1207

Read about this Act in the link below. Fed trying to give red herrings and lames excuses to prevent or water down the HR1207 "Audit the Fed". Shouldn't it be time to completely audit the Fed and do away with the lies, deception, hypocrisy, and looting of American taxpayers by the Fed's Ponzi schemes?

Let's see who in Congress really supports this Act whole-heartedly or whether they're secretly helping the Fed to water down the audit. Scumbags that give a water down version or don't support this Act should be voted out of office.

THE REAL ENEMY IS********......

THE F"IN FED!!!!!!!!!!No not federal express, not federal mogul...Mike larsen"The Fed Consistently Errs On the Side Of
Easy Money — Over and Over and Over

Why am I being so blunt? Why am I so sure we're going to see the same movie ... again? Because of recent history.

Starting with Alan Greenspan two decades ago — and continuing under Ben Bernanke — the Fed has become a gigantic enabler of financial risk-taking. The prescription for every downturn in the economy or financial market shock has been the same: Throw money at the problem!

Long-Term Capital Management blows up? Cut rates!

Y2K bug threatens banks? Flood the system with cheap money!

Dot-com bust? Housing bust? Recession? Drive rates into the gutter!

The risk of this strategy is abundantly clear ... it keeps fueling new bubbles in the wake of the old ones. Even the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development weighed in on this topic a few days ago, warning that a key risk right now is "the reigniting of rolling asset bubbles through easy monetary policy."

But the Fed shows no sign of changing course. Worse, the Fed has consistently maintained this asinine asymmetric policy toward asset bubbles."

The feds know exactly and they look like they have been taught to dodge and effectively consume 5 minutes that are alloted to senators for questioning. They know "just stall em for 5 mins"

Send them off to Afghanistan to the war front. taliban will take care of these idiots

Real enemy is Goldman. Fed doesn't do ANYTHING without
prior approval from Goldman. Does anyone seriously think Ben or Timmy execute anything without running it by Goldman first.

wing the real situation with RIMM? We will never know as GS IS EXEMPT FOR ALL GOVT INVESTIGATIONS AND HAS A TEFLON SHIELD WHERE THE SEC CAN NOT TOUCH THEM.

I don't hate this guy as much as Geithner and Bernanke, and here's why. He tries to answer the questions and he obviously has worked for a living. Know how I know that? Anybody who has ever worked for a living gets scared when they answer a question with these three words:

"I DON'T KNOW"

What burns me is the way Bernanke will sit there and say, "I don't know who we gave $500B to" and it doesn't occur to him that on this side of the rainbow, that's the equivalent of saying, "I don't want to work here anymore".

It's official. Michael Moore is an Obama-supporting tool. What Don Rumsfeld would call a "dead-ender."

Here's the proof. Total denial. Extreme cognitive dissonance.

Michael Moore: "I trust President Obama, where his heart is at, who he is as a person."

For Liberty: How the Ron Paul Revolution Watered the Withered Tree of Liberty introduces us to the people who decide elections and the future of the country - not just the activists but the swing voters. A 2006 study by David Boaz and David Kirby found that about a fifth of voters hold generally libertarian views. Grover Norquist labels it the "leave us alone" coalition. The pieces of a political realignment waiting to happen are wonderfully edited on screen. As Ron Paul demurred, "it was the message not the man": liberty is popular and the constitution brings us together.

Washington Times...

The military general credited with capturing Saddam Hussein and killing the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, says he has spoken with President Obama only once since taking command in Afghanistan.

"I’ve talked to the president, since I’ve been here, once on a VTC [video teleconference]," Gen. Stanley McChrystal told CBS reporter David Martin in a television interview that aired Sunday.

"You’ve talked to him once in 70 days?" Mr. Martin followed up.

"That is correct," the general replied.

This revelation comes amid the explosive publication of an classified report written by the general that said the war in Afghanistan "will likely result in failure" if more troops are not added next year. Yet, the debate over health care reform continues to dominate Washington’s political discussions. On Monday, the White House announced President Obama would travel to Denmark to lobby the International Olympic Committee to select his hometown of Chicago for the 2012 summer games.

Former U.S. Ambassador for the United Nations John R. Bolton said the lack of communication with the general was indicative of Mr. Obama’s misplaced priorities.

"He is a fraud and a traitor, I am sure that you would agree."

What I will agree with is that a majority of both sides of the aisle in Congress plus the presidential administrations of George W. Bush and Barack H. Obama have sold out the American People.

I am beginning to think the political parties have outlived their usefulness. The Congress is mired in continuous partisan conflict, they refuse to pay any attention to the demands of the majority of the electorate. The American People are telling them what they want yet they do the opposite. They are accomplishing nothing beneficial for people of this country.

The only thing they seem to be able to work together on is the continuing coverup of the corrupt even criminal actions of Wall Street the FED and the government regulators leading up to and after the economic collapse. This they do to protect their own individual butts. They know if the people ever find out what is really going on their retirement will be spent behind bars, if they live long enough to see the inside of a cell. Both parties will fight tooth and nail to keep the truth unknown and justice at bay.

We need to change the whole damn system, the one we have is totally corrupt and unsalvageable.

The 99% VS the 1% - A battle to be fought and won with truth and unity! The people have finally started to come together. You cannot convince me that tiny Iceland can handle the “Cabal” and WE cannot!
Now is the time to join forces with those you would not normally consider. This is all starting to leak out to the main stream media... finally. We just need to KEEP THE HEAT on them. We will soon be posting new petition and email campaign info as well as protest ideas. We just need more people following this group and we can use resources from the Tea Party, Occupy and other groups. THEY win as long as they can keep us arguing with each other.
WE need to come together with people we wouldn't normally work with to bring these criminals DOWN! Spread the word, others have carried the load of exposing this activity. Now we the people NEED to come out and make it a major issue in the news and in this political cycle.
