A Few Words For My Critics (With Help From Bob Knight)

Note:  This is in response to the critical emails I get about my reporting from staunchly partisan Democrats and Republicans.  In particular the Dale Peterson story.  I am obviously not talking about any of the regulars.  It's always people who read the daily emails and rss feeds.  They go out to 15k people, so I get a lot of email responses.

Before writing me critical emails, take a moment to understand my life.  Because of this website, more or less every day since January 15, 2009, I have sat in front of my monitors for 12 hours and read approximately 250 articles and watched 75-100 videos.  That's daily.  It's freaking depressing, but I do it because I care about my country.  I haven't asked for donations.  I haven't run a single advertisement, pretty much just so that you will have a better a web reading experience.

And by the way, watching clips and reading stories is the easy part.  The difficulty (and trust me, there's plenty of it) is in the presentation.  Unless you've done it yourself, you have no idea.  My advice to anyone -- Do NOT start a news website, not under any circumstances.  Blogging kills, or destroys your soul, and sometimes both.

I might not post a lot on certain days, but understand that I'm still here watching clips and reading, a slave to these issues and this website.  I go to sleep when I'm exhausted and when I wake up, I'm back in this chair and in front of these screens within 15 minutes, generally.  I'm not trying to earn your sympathy.  I'm the one who needs to get control over his life.  But I'm asking you to hold your tongue before you fire off that nasty email.  You're probably wrong about my thoughts anyway, as in the case of Peterson.  So don't waste your time or mine.

Bob Knight said it better than anyone:

Video:  Go to 2:55 of the clip ------>!

And then start at the beginning and watch the entire thing.

Warning:  It's Bobby Knight.  He's going to use colorful language.

Quote is transcribed inside for those who can't watch.

  • "When my time on Earth is gone, and my activities here are passed.  I want they bury me upside down.  So my critics can kiss my ass."

Has anyone gotten a text today from the Family Research Council on gays in the military...asking you to call your representative and providing a phone number...?

Just curious...i've never gotten a political-lobbying text before and wondered if it happened to others...a few friends have gotten the same text...

No, but two days ago I got a "Conservative Action Alert" in my email about "open homosexual aggression in our military."

BTW, in the spirit of Dale Peterson's ad, you should tell your critics that you DON'T GIVE A RIP!

I love your site I am a daily reader almost since inception. Keep up the good work. If there were any legitimate MSM outlets still around they would have hired you by now. Lets face it Wall ST big money runs the world. Its sad but true. I cant believe people sent you negative responses to the "Dale Peterson video? What tools. When you took vacation we were lost and were forced to read stories about Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse my head came close to exploding.

PS I just heard the BP oil spill has now taken the lead as the worst US oil spill to date. Not to worry though I think we are right on target for the worst environmental disaster ever worldwide. I know its a lofty goal but records are meant to be broke. Not to worry though Obankster is on it, he will find a way to make money off this disaster.

In the words of Nancy Pelosi "We cant let a perfectly good disaster go to waste" without force feeding some more ridiculous bill thru congress in the middle of the night. " Yes we can"

Sorry for the long comment but just wanted to say thanks and let you know there are people out there who love this site.

You should advertise and retire.

Keep up the good work Steve, and as to your critics, they are just angry they are not the lead bull in their respective herds. If you are not the lead bull, you spend your life angry looking at the asshole of the herd animal in front of you, and occasionally getting shit on your nose...

Step out of the line if you do not like the view or the smell dipshits.

Gomp, you must have grown up with many brothers and sisters. You got the herd stuff on the brain. Maybe you are John McCain the maverick, out there on a wing and a prayer with Sarah.

zara...don't pick a fight...peace be among you...you know what i'm saying...

Gobie,

McCain and Sarah would not know what to do with a herd, though you certainly fit the mold of one who enjoys the view and the smell.

And I do come from a large family.

Family asked to pay for car damage after dog run over

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=CNG.ce790ff71ff6bbbca9e18d3940bfe8d9.531&show_article=1

-----

A car insurer has asked a Canadian family to pay for repairing a broken bumper after their dog was struck by the vehicle and died, local media said Thursday.

The traffic accident occurred in March while Jake, a 12-year-old yellow Labrador, was out for his daily stroll around a quiet neighborhood in Aurora, Ontario, north of Toronto.

I think You do a great job & I apprciate all the effort you go thru to gather all your information from various sources. keep it up, but, you can take a day off every now & then. Everyone I know is on information/bullshit overload, it just never stops-and it's not one thing we are being assulted on so many different fronts it's unbelievable.
