(Click Image To See The Debt Details PLUS A Few More Dog Photos)Now the bad news.  The United States Federal Debt crossed $11.5 trillion this week. 

For a bit of perspective.  We labored for 216 years as a nation before getting to the $1 trillion mark around 1991.  And in the 18 short years since, we have grown our debt from $1 trillion to $11.5 trillion.

And don't forget that when you count our unfunded liabilities for social security and medicare, that the real national debt is greater than $55 trillion.

Sorry to ruin your weekend, though painful, we must constantly remind ourselves of the truth.
