Congressional candidate Jackie Walorski on the economy, deficits and bailouts.

Editor's Note:  Dr. Pitchfork put this story together, and I was going to shelve it since she lost tonight.  Then I watched this clip.

Walorski just conceded -- 48-47 for Donnelly.  Only 1,600 votes separating.

For months, political observers have been keeping a close eye on Indiana's 2nd congressional district, where TARP incumbent Joe Donnelly (D) faced a tough opponent in tea-party backed Jackie Walorski (R).  A little over a month ago, this race was still being treated as a near-certain win for Donnelly, but few political insiders understood the depths of people's anger over the bank bailouts.  They'll learn.

Anyhow, we called this race for Walorski back in September when she was still way behind in the polls.  The bailouts, and the Tea Party movement they inspired, have politicized and radicalized people who would not otherwise be, and today they voted.
