THIS PROTESTER IS EXTREMELY UNHAPPY
In case you hadn't heard, Memphis Black Lives Matter came up with the genius idea to shut down Elvis Week at Graceland which began tonight. Elvis died 39 years ago today.
I was 11. I remember the day because my 'Irish-twin' brother and I were watching the Cubs lose on WGN when they interrupted the broadcast for a special report to inform us that Elvis had just died on his toilet.
We headed straight for the kitchen to sing the news to our mother, while impersonating Elvis, and she flipped out and didn't really believe us. She became very sad that day. She met Elvis once in an elevator in Louisville and apparently that was an awesome experience for her. We knew this and thus the singing death telegram to increase her pain, and our amusement, I suppose. Sick kids.
Anyway, the King would have none of the protesters bullshit tonight and spoke from the Heavens and released the thunderclouds and frightened the heathens away.
And the storm front just moved into Whitehaven. Graceland #BLM protestors & Memphis PD not going anywhere. #Memphis pic.twitter.com/ZpOKBcgVns
