SANDERS DROPS THE F BOMB -- FRAUD BY GOLDMAN
This Senate exchange occurred in February 2009, one day after the Sanders-Bernanke tussle I posted this morning. Bernie has two bailout questions for Geithner and the weasely bastard evades them both, repeatedly. He wants to know why Lloyd Blankfein hasn't been fired (you'll hear why), and he wants to know which banks were beneficiaries of at least $2.2 trillion in secret loans from the Federal Reserve.
And don't skip the last 15 seconds when Sanders mentions criminal behavior and Goldman 'pushing and selling fraudulent paper.' This was at least 2 years before we ever heard anything about Fabrice Tourre and those 'shitty, shitty deals' from Goldman Sachs, so Sanders is ahead of the curve here.
