Bass lobbies for Frank Brosens.

Taconic Capital Advisors is a multi-strategy hedge fund with about $9 billion in total assets under management co-managed by Frank Brosens and Kenneth Brody. Brosens is a former Goldman Sachs partner where he served as head of risk arbitrage.  He has presented at the World Economic Forum and the Council on Foreign Relations and is a graduate of Princeton University.

There's more.  Brosens almost went to work for Geithner in 2009.

Treasury's Top Candidate to Run TARP Drops Out - WSJ

WASHINGTON -- The leading candidate to run the Treasury Department's $700 billion bailout program has withdrawn his name from consideration, according to people familiar with the matter.  Frank Brosens, a hedge-fund manager and big Democratic donor, was considered the top contender to run the Treasury's TARP.
