All three of these clowns are founding members.  You will notice in a link below that Sarah Palin is exposed for supporting Wall Street bailouts.

The one main benefit to the financial reform effort so far is that it helps further do away with the false paradigms of "left" or "right" and "Democrat" or "Republican" - fewer and fewer people are falling for those lies anymore. Try to get an ideological conservative to explain why Republicans love spending and so eagerly give welfare to banks. Try to get your local liberal to explain why it was a good idea to make backroom deals with abhorrent corporations and drill, baby, drill. Heck, even try to get a Tea Partier to explain choosing bailout-lover Sarah Palin to keynote their convention, especially when that movement once had at least some pre-astroturf roots in protesting government giveaways.

What we have now is a group of politicians with shifting alliances on a case-by-case basis to the special interests who fund them. And currently, the most damaging one to our nation is the rise of the Bankster Party. Thankfully, we can now better identify its members.

Anyone who voted for the Kaufman-Brown SAFE amendment deserves to be considered a member of the "People's Party", at least for today. And while I may not agree, I am also OK with someone voting no on Kaufman-Brown if they voted no on the bailout in the first place. That at least shows a consistent ideology and we wouldn't need to break up the banks into smaller parts if our leaders had the will to let them fail.

But there is a special place for those who have the audacity to do something as incredibly un-American as voting to provide unencumbered welfare for rich bankers and then subsequently do absolutely nothing to fix the problem. And that special place (for now) is in what we should call from this point forward the "Bankster Party."

Allow me to present to you its current members:

Boston Beer Company...

http://www.boston.com/business/ticker/2010/05/at_boston_beer_1.html

Jim Koch, the company's effusive founder and chairman could not be reached for comment -- the company said he is off on a boat excursion with his wife. The stock's sudden plunge had the appearance of virtually wiping out his $270 million in holdings in the company he started 25 years ago.

Jim Koch and family didn't sell his stock and I am sure the employees didn't sell their stock so how did the stock go down to 1 cent. This must go beyond a computer error or a fat finger or whatever they are saying now.

I think you have to look at several key votes before you can determine whether or not a politician works for the people. When you remove the pols that re-confirmed Bernanke the list gets a whole lot shorter.....

Mark Begich (AK)
Maria Cantwell (WA)
John Ensign (NV)
Russell Feingold (WI)
Jeff Merkley (OR)
Bernard Sanders (VT)
Richard Shelby (AL)
Arlen Specter (PA)

And don't forget - anybody who voted for Bernanke in the Cloture vote, voted for Zimbabwe Ben. Give them no quarter on election day. I saved the results:

Five hundred and thirty-five people in the Congress. Five hundred and twenty-seven work for the special interests and eight work for the people. And the sheeple actually think they live in a Democracy. Not very well informed are they?

I guess you can see why the "vote out all the incumbents" movement makes sense to a lot of people. Keep in mind this is only looking at two key votes, I'm pretty sure that 8 wouldn't hold up if we looked at more.

I'm continually amazed that Ratigan is not yanked from the big flat screen with a long, dramatic looking hook, during prime time.

I can only imagine that his bosses are afflicted with trembling ribcage syndrome and are looking around for allies among the masses for protection against the coming deluge.

Thousands of media critics have warned us about the manufactured lies of these bosses, for years. But few listen to the critics.

One such American voice among thousands, is Michael Penenti, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Parenti#Role_of_US_media who says,

Role of US media

With respect to the US media Parenti has maintained that, while news coverage can be marred by problems of deadlines, space, and ordinary human error, much of the misleading coverage is the result of carefully honed ideological production. Reporters, he says, often exercise much skill to avoid the more important points of a story or news analysis so as not to offend anyone who wields substantial political and economic power, including their own bosses and corporate advertisers. Parenti concludes that their goal is to avoid fishing too deeply into troubled waters thereby maintaining an appearance of objectivity and moderation. Their careers, he suggests, depend in part upon their ability to equate centrist views with “objectivity,” and to stay within the prevailing ideological orthodoxy.[15]

Parenti’s treatment of entertainment media (movies and television) continues the argument that the media are not neutral and favor elitist interests. Exploring a wide range of films and programs, he has attempted to demonstrate that the entertainment media do more than entertain; they indoctrinate by propagating values in keeping with their corporate ownership and corporate advertisers.[16]

Parenti often attacks specific examples of the misleading coverage provided by the US media. In Blackshirts and Reds[17] he cites historian J. Arch Getty's figures to demonstrate the exaggeration elsewhere in the US media of the executions effected by Joseph Stalin in the Great Purge. Parenti critically reviews Slobodan Milosevic and the Destruction of Yugoslavia[18] in "The Demonization of Slobodan Milosevic"[19] and To Kill a Nation: The Attack on Yugoslavia [20], finding similar exaggeration of war crimes in the breakup of the second Yugoslavia. In "Friendly Feudalism: The Tibet Myth"[21] he observes, "western news media, travel books, novels, and Hollywood films have portrayed the Tibetan theocracy as a veritable Shangri-La" then goes on to detail what he feels were its negative aspects.

We need to listen to Parenti and our other Cassandras before our masters brand us with their marks and cut off our ears.

The 535 are predominately lawyers, a self serving breed of people. Years ago they had to close the Congressional bank due to the 535 bouncing to many checks. Yet the sheeple still vote for the check bouncing lawyers to pay the bills of our nation, because the parties tell them to.

We have more than enough laws, we need CPA's.

By JEANNINE AVERSA

WASHINGTON (AP) - Your parents were right. Money can't buy you happiness.

That was the message from the Federal Reserve chairman on Saturday to graduates of the University of South Carolina.

"We all know that getting a better-paying job is one of the main reasons to go to college. ... But if you are ever tempted to go into a field or take a job only because the pay is high and for no other reason, be careful!" Ben Bernanke said in his commencement address.

"Having a larger income is exciting at first, but as you get used to your new standard of living and as you associate with other people in your new income bracket, the thrill quickly wears off," he said.

Ben Bernanke...What about Barry Soetoro? He can't get enough of the money and perks. He even took Air Force One for a joy ride.

"Circus ponies, was that a reference to Obama? "

No Gobias, that would be a reference to people like both you and the Obama herd. Two herds, one circle walk. I remember well the Keating 5, and seen many families destroyed while McCain flew around in Charles's jet, my how times do not change...

Two herds of lawyers with the same people writing checks for them to be subserviant. But neither herd can balance their own checkbook.

America is being destroyed not by the leaders, but by the followers who push the leaders up above the herds as if they were divinely chosen to destroy America.

The leaders can only do what the followers allow, and remember... The true majority does not even vote.

I know all the traitors will read this, and know their fate is on the way. We must not only impeach these incumbents/scum, we must hold them accountable for destroying our currency and the middle class. People who work and save were the real victims of the bailouts, as banks laughingly offer 1% CD rates because they feed off the government trough. The banks sit on foreclosures to manipulate house prices (called price fixing: illegal).

After we get rid of traitors like this UTAH scum, Nancy Palosi, Barbara Boxer, Gregg, Dodd and John "Bailout" Campbell, we must imprison them for their actions in the bailouts that defrauded our country and our working class citizens.

NO INCUMBENTS.

I just clicked on the link to Ratigan and read as much as I could stand of that insane, idiotic "Bush did it, too" rant.

And of course, the accusations of racism always make clowns like Ratigan feel very smug. So they have to be tossed in. Everybody does it, so....

First of all, just because Bush did something (Shoebomber vs. underwear bomber Mirandize idiocy) does not mean we have to support Obama when he does the same stupid thing. Only a fool (Ratigan, I am thinking of you) does not learn from their experience. The shoe bomber should have been treated as an enemy combatant. But the shoebomber incident took place shortly after 9-11, and maybe not every contingency in domestic terrorism had been planned for. The country didn't have everything figured out. It was a mistake, ok ? Obama does not get a pass for repeating the mistake. He has had time to learn.

Obama has had the opportunity to learn from all of Bush's mistakes. But he and his liberal clown posse do not learn. They do the same stupid things as Bush and then wail, "Bush did it! Why didn't you complain then ?"

We did complain about some things, like the foolish spending and entitlements. Conservatives did not vote for Bush and other Republicans to watch them go to Washington and act like Democrats. That's why so many Republicans turned their backs on McCain, and why the vast majority of Independents went with Obama. The Republicans completely lost their way. They deserved to take a beating at the polls-- and they did.

And maybe there were some things we didn't complain about because we just didn't realize how badly they would turn out. We learn from our mistakes, unlike Ratigan and liberals.

But at least we conservatives-- and many Republicans-- learned. Ratigan is still replaying "Bush did it! Bush did it!" It is just so tiresome. And it is the perfect example of the shallow thinkers on both sides.

And stop screaming "racist! " at everybody who believes in limited government and that the law should be applied with "equal justice", not "social justice". The hypocrites are on the left on this issue. It is the conservatives who truly believe that the only way to judge a person is by the content of their character.
May 9, 2010 at 1:51 AM | Unregistered Commentervenda
Venda,
While I can't speak for Ratigan, I too tell every conservative about the criminal actions of Bush, John "Bailout" Campbell, Ben Bernanke and Henry "Inmate 112973" Paulson. Most people expect Democrats to steal from those that work and give to those that don't. But, republicans pretended to be free market capitalists who support limited government. Republicans pretended they were going to address the illegal immigration crises. All we got from the lying republican party was 1/2 trillion dollar bailouts where the money was literally given to multi-billionaires. The middle class was crushed under rising costs in health care, education and crime from republican supported illegal immigration.

It is because people like you who blindly follow a party label that our currency has been destroyed and our nation is now a third world joke.

I know the neocons must be rooted out of our system and a new party must be formed. A party that supports those who work and save. I also know there will be people like you who will fight common sense only to benefit from our hard won battles.

Benny is correct, and as the chart below shows, no one has learned anything since 1913. Except how to belly up to the trough when it is their turn in the drivers seat, but then the law does defend the plunderer...

And anyone who believes their "extra special" incumbent is not part of the problem is a fool indeed. Both parties together have been plotting the course to socialism for many years, and when those paths meet a little farther down the road, the profits for the masters will be sensational.

And Liberty shall die by the sound of thunderous applause.

Kagan was a member of the Research Advisory Council of the Goldman Sachs Global Markets Institute, according to the financial disclosures she filed when President Obama appointed her last year to her current post. Kagan served on the Goldman panel from 2005 through 2008, when she was dean of Harvard Law School, and received a $10,000 stipend for her service in 2008, her disclosure forms show."
