I have lived above 8000 ft. el. in the Rocky Mountains for the last 47 years and I can guarantee Mr. I know everything Inhofe that the winters are warming up. In the west we have tens of millions of acres of forrest that has been destroyed by Bark Beetles. Experts say one of the main reasons for this is it takes very cold winters to kill the beetle larva. Without cold winter temperatures to keep them in check they are impossible to control. Normal winters in the west used to be very cold. Up until about 10 years ago where I lived 20 degrees below zero was normal and we would see 30 below several times during a normal winter and it might hit 40 below two or three times. That hasn't happened for 10 years. It still gets down to 20 below a few times and once in a great while it will hit 25 or 28 below but not often enough to kill those damn beetles. So tell that Okie asshole to hop in a plane and take a ride over the New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana high country and then head for Alaska and he will see some REAL proof of global warming.
